i think nutrition also has alot to do with it... my parents grew up in a 3rd world country... my dad is 5'3" and my mom is 5'... but grew up here with plenty of milk and food and i am 5'9"...

my current g/f is 5'7"... wonder how our kids would turn out... :hmm:

honestly, im 5'9 and she was like 6'2 and it was apparent early that it just wasn't going to work out. it's too bad because we got along great. It wasn't comfortable to keep my arm around her or anything.

 

Just an update on this, at the moment I am dating said 6'1" girl, I absolutely love her legs haha I can get over being shorter than her, it's worth it.

 

I wouldnt see a prob dating a chick who was taller. As long as I find her attractive I dont see an issue....Although Im only 5'7 I see women who are taller then me every time I turn my head lol

^lol Im sure its your way with words. I cant even get a woman my height to look in my direction. For me sex appeal has very little to do with your height. Unless your like 3'1 or 7'4 but like most have already stated in this thread its seen as an issue when the woman is taller

 

I dated a girl that was 4'11 when I was 5'11. Not too weird. Didn't bother me. Might have if it was the other way around though.

 

Real talk:

I was at a house party about 3-4 wks ago. There was a woman there that vibed with me for much of the night. My kind of woman: intellectually on my level and built! We talked about a lot of things from political issues to sex (you know your boy gotta get in where I fit in). But a friend of mine told me she had a man. Now, I could always tell when someone likes me, and this woman did. But, I knew she wasn't there for that, and neither was I really. So I didn't go there (but I could have). But I digress...

To da point...She was talking to me about something, and my friend (female) asked me how tall I thought she was. I said about 6 ft - and stacked!! Not a wimpy, skinny six, but noice!!! (hell yeah 3 exclamations ) I told her that if she didn't have a man she would be in trouble! She told me she liked that about me - the confidence, the swagger. She said a guy approached her at the mall before and said if only I was a few inches taller (he was like my height), he would run game at her. She said her response was if only your confidence was a lot stronger, you would have had a chance anyway! She told me that her man is about my height or a little shorter, but that she puts more emphasis on other things besides that. Now, I know all women that are tall are not equal opportunity lovers...but you never know when you meet one like her or not! Dynamite lady...with serious "ground" to cover - ya feel me?

Sum: So act right and put your bid in and let them say no...you're no worse off than when you started if they do, but what if they don't...ya can't strike out from the dugout...need I say more?

Well put....I see what your saying. Not that I didnt realize that there could be a slight possibility in any given situation short or tall. My self confidence is almost non existant though lol but your advice does make sense....Thank you

 

i cant say it doesnt matter and yet i cant say that it does. typically women do not go for shorter men, from what i know.

 

I'm 6', wife is 5' 3" in heels. Oldest son is definitely going to be over 6' and our youngest will be lucky to make 5' 8" based on projections.

x2 on the women not going for guys shorter than them.

 

x3 on women not going for shorter guys, or even guys that are only an inch or so taller than them. Might as well not waste your time hitting on them, unless of course your wallet makes you 6'6"

 

I'd be careful with those projections....i was 5'2" until my junior year of high school and was ALWAYS short and fat.

By the end of senior year I was 5'11" and weighed 130 pounds. I grew way up fast and had no time to eat fast enough to gain weight. That came later, but I still have a lanky body type.....I'll take skinny over short any day. high school sucked until I got taller and then it was the most fun ever.

 

What the fuck? Am I the only dude with even an ounce of game or confidence in this thread? That shit may be the "norm" for most of you, but I have never had a problem with women (continuously striking out because of height I mean)...Dayuuummm...
