werd, my tastes have totally changed.
my first two gfs were like 5' - 5'2"
i used to think only short petite girls were attractive.. any girl that wasnt short and small framed fell into my blind spot..
as i've gotten older, i tend to be more attracted to tall, broader framed girls (not like linebackers or some shit, just not as into the petite frame anymore)
my current gf is 5'9" ish, maybe 5'10", i duno. college soccer player, so she has nice long legs
i'm about 6'1" and i would consider girls taller as well as shorter than me (if i werent with my gf)... but i just don't think i would ever go back to the short petite type unless she really blew me away.

I don't think height should be an issue, unless for some reason, you just can't get past it. I mean, would you pass up the person-of-your-dreams if he/she was shorter or taller than you, but just perfect for you in every other sense?! That'd be pretty retarded to me. You'll certainly miss out on a lot of cool people in life if you judge them superficially on things they have no control over (do you stay away from people with brown eyes, too?).

I understand preferences, but when truly looking for someone to care about, who they are matters so much more than if they got short or tall genes.

And for what it's worth, each generation seems to be getting taller and taller (on average). Thanks to good nutrition, and all the hormones in food (a not so great thing), I don't think many children of the future will have any problem being a healthy height.

 

Also keep in mind it's not always a genetics thing. I'm not very tall, the reason...I hurt my knee growing up and I havn't grown since. I'm only 5'5'' but my brother is 5'11'' and my father was 5'10''. I probably would have been about there height if I didn't hurt my knee. So someone may think it's my genetics, but it's not.

Sometimes people are not as tall for other reasons.

 

My basic point was, height: who cares. No point in faulting someone over something they cannot control (for whatever reason).

I'm 5'2"...but am 5'6" with my 4 inch stilettos on! haha As long as the guy or girl is not a foot or more in height from each other, then it shouldn't be an issue! I just find it hard to hug or kiss a guy if he was 7feet tall! EEK!

 

It shouldn't be a problem unless it's REALLY REALLY inconvenient (like a 7 foot man dating a 4 foot tall woman), and even then it can still work.

Don't worry about your kids' heights. They are only partially dependent on your own, and chances are they won't care if you don't make it a stigma.

I'm 5'7" and I have no problem with my height, or lack thereof. Short guys have better butts anyway.

Finding a true life-partner is hard enough to do without filtering out good women based on how you think your kids will wind up. You have no idea how that will wind up. Genes can pop up from grand parents or great grandparents that you know nothing about.

Fall in love with who she is, not her physical dimensions.
