All good things...
Good luck! CRNA is solid field if you like being in the OR. Some surgeons are arrogant dickheads but you seem to have thick skin and should be fine. One of my boys is a CRNA, drives a carrera and z51 so not doing too shabby. If you're gonna be in school that long did you think about med school?!? Then you can be barking out orders as one of the "arrogant dickheads"

I've always enjoyed watching surgery, and I've always loved running anesthesia.
I should be done with the BSN in about 18 months once I start, +1 year of work experience, +2 years for the CRNA/Master's. I think med school, including the residency, would exceed that, and the payout wouldn't necessarily be better. I'd have to specialize to make the same amount of money.
I'm in San Antonio.
At least you're not too terribly far if you wanted to meet up with some of your old friends. Austin is what....about 30-45 minutes north of SA? College Station, meh...hour and 45...2? Houston would be about 3.
Three and half, and you and I could meet up.

Rio Rio on the San Antonio Riverwalk - killer margaritas. So smooth yet brings a euphoria-like feeling to your numb body. Congrats on your decision to move fwd and focus your energies. Nursing school is not a piece of cake. Need a score of 80 to graduate. My friend got a 79.76 for his final grade and they would not pass him - you don't pass you start all over from step one.
School has always been pretty easy for me. I never felt like I had to study until I got to college.
I went to high school in Fairfax County, VA. When I was there, 94% was an A, so my weighted GPA was somewhere around a 5.5 when I was applying to college, and I got just over 1500 on my SAT the final time I took it (my junior year).
Not to say I think nursing school will be easy, but I've always been a great test-taker, and now that I have the motivation and drive to succeed, I'm pretty confident I could do whatever I wanted to.
It's time to buckle down and really apply myself -- something I've never truly done.
Yeah, I plan on hanging out with some of my old friends once I get a little more settled in down here.
Dallas is a bit of a drive, if I recall. Pretty sure the miles on my RL are going to skyrocket since moving here. Only has 30k miles on it right now -- even after the 1200 mile drive from Florida.
I'll probably make it up for a big meet, as long as school and work allow for it. Also provided I have somewhere to crash.
I think I have a problem. I need to get back to work. I'm at like 10+ times per day now.
Maybe I should go to sex rehab.

Just think of your sexy friends on Azine the next time you feel the urge.. if you find yourself masturbating more violently & often.. then you should seek professional help.
btw, I'm guessing UTSA? why not UT?

or
.I'm going a different way there than I am back though, so maybe it'll keep things interesting.

Definitely nowhere in Texas or Florida.

I should be meeting up with a couple SA people tonight, and I'm planning to make it to Houston in April. DFW is a bit of a drive, but I'll make it up for big events for sure.

I need some elizabethan collars (those lampshade things that go around dogs' necks after they've had surgery) for my hands.
He still calls me a couple times a week. I've been ignoring him lately. Last time he called he all but begged me to come back, saying he'd made a huge mistake, he'd changed, etc. etc.

of course he changed, and if you go there he will show you how hes changed....right up to the point where you two are comfortable again and he changes back
as for the collars? No need to torture yourself...masturbation is normal, and you wont go to hell for it
as long as you take pictures for us

For the most part, it sounds like that you're going to be ok
. Things will get better over time. Your career change will definitely keep you occupied, which I'm sure will help some.
If it helps any, I've put 125k miles on my '04 TSX. I'm averaging 120 miles a day these days (
TSX). It used to bother me, but I've come to accept it. I look at it as a challenge now. Maybe I'll make it to 200k...250k?? Who knows!

First off, damn how did I miss all this?
Second, my condolences and yet at the same time, good riddance. Sounds like everything worked out for the best in the long run.
Third, I'm jealous of you in San Antonio, I love that area.
Stay strong, don't be a stranger.
