A lovely 3 grain pasta sauteed in water with a combination (homemade) of herbs and spices thats been in the family for years. I then carefully strained the water away from the pasta taking care to leave a little moisture for the spices. I then cooked some fresh vegetables that I had been seasoning for the last 3 months that were absolutely orgasmic ...aka...

What was for dinner? ( Christmas Eve + Christmas )

Made everything from scratch, started shopping @ 12pm for the ingredients. By 6:30pm we had =P

Glazed Walnut Prawns ( Appetizer )

Chinese Chicken Salad ( Appetizer )

Baked Ginger snap(ginger bread) encrusted Chilean Sea Bass + Kiwi Lime Sauce with Chinese Stir Fry + Chinese Fried Rice ( Entree )

Vintage Syrah Red Wine ( Great pairing with the entree complements well with flavors )

Tiramisu ( dessert )

Green Tea.

If anyone needs a recipe and instructions on how to make it just let me know

Not sure what Mom is making tomorrow. If it sucks I heard Hooters is open from 11am-5pm so that's my stand-by.

And you made red wine from scratch?

In Peru, just ate turkey stuffed with ground beef, sausage and hot dog. Also Panettone with chocolate drink. Dinner starts at midnight; 1 am in our case, after opening presents.

But I just didnt have the time to prep all that the day before so I decided to cook my mothers favorite seafood dish. My grandmother is 91 years old, she finished everything on her plate and had seconds

One of my favorite italian dishes Did you drink wine with the dish? Merlot sounds like a great combo.

I just had the traditional Puerto Rican holiday meal...
"Arroz con gandules" - Rice with pigeon peas
"Pasteles" - A tamale-like thing made with mashed plantains, filled with various things like pork or chicken, red peppers, oilives, etc.
"Lechón" - pork, an entire pig cooked rotisserie style over fire
"Morcillas" - a.k.a. blood sausage. It's the intestines of the pig stuffed with pig blood, rice and seasonings. Trust me they're good!

The thing is I've eaten essentially the same thing at three different houses already!

POTATO PANCAKES RULE! My mom used to make those and we couldn't wait to get to the table. We ate them with sour cream and a little salt... Actually that whole dinner sounds great

Christmas Eve dinner = PB&J sandwich
Christmas dinner, I'm making: Sweet potato casserole, spinach madeline, a ham, an apple pie, and a chocolate fudge cake; my mother is making a mirliton and shrimp casserole; I'm not sure what my boyfriend's mom and stepmom made... but I've been cooking since yesterday.

The marsala sauce absolutely drenched it. It easily melted in the mouth.

I normally would have, but the weather made driving difficult and I forewent alcohol this time. I hadn't had veal in a while, and I dislike eating chicken at restaurants (you can have chicken anywhere). I had steak-and-potatos the night before, so wanted something different.

My Italian uncle gives the place 5-stars. It's VERY good Italian.
If anyone is in the Detroit area for the Superbowl, they have several different locations, all with different décor. I think the menus may vary as well.

Chinese food is great on any holiday, and especially Christmas. I ate at Miami subs in Jacksonville about 8yrs back. That was not enjoyable.
