Favorite Hot Sauce

As of late, I have become addicted to Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce.

I use it on just about everything. It is especially great for adding some heat to your spaghetti sauce or stir fry. It has a great flavor while being quite hot.

What is your favorite hot sauce?

Sriracha is definitely near the top. For Mexican food, I really like Tapatio.

Also, you can never go wrong with the good ol' Tabasco.

Tapatio is OK, but I like Cholula better.

Was a big fan of Tabasco in my MRE eating days. Not so much anymore....it's too vinegary and not spicy enough.

+2, it has a good flavor as well. Some other hot sauces are just hot with no type of flavor.

Just made my own.

Used a Bhut Jolokia.

But other than that I use a bunch from Original Juan's website.

I use it on whatever I feel! Also the Huy Fong Chili Garlic stuff is great to for those who like their stuff a bit spicier.

Uncle Bruthas. Hands down.

But Sriracha is really damn good.

I'm not calling repost but merely posting this earlier thread because it has a lot of different types too

No worries. It was also a few years old. I really like hot sauce and think that people needed to be reminded of its awesomeness every so often. And it never hurts to start another one

I think the red is better. Definitely has more heat and a smoky flavor.

Just ordered a bottle of the red. Too bad they don't sell it at any stores around here.

Nice. I hope you like it. I usually have to pick up a bunch when I'm back in DC because distribution is still fairly limited. Apparently he is working with Whole Foods to try and get something outside the DC area but I don't think much progress has been made so far.

They sell it at Whole Foods in these states:

Kentucky
Maryland
New Jersey (Marlton and Princeton only)
Pennsylvania
Ohio
Virginia
Washington DC

also, they list a different store in FL that carries it.

WI is always the last to get anything.

Looking forward to giving it a try.

I really like the Uncle Bruthas and the Sriracha. I just can't decide which one I like better, so I just rotate between them. Both are excellent additions to any meal.

Never had the Hula Girl. Is that comparable to Tapitio or Cholula?

I had some killer hot sauce at the mexican restaurant the other day. It was some home made stuff that was like a cross between Sriracha and Uncle Bruthas.

I can't really decide either. Some fit better depending on what you are eating. I picked up a bottle of his green (I didn't care much for it initially) and it is pretty tasty too.

Today I made a mixture of Uncle Bruthas and A1 and used it on some pork tenderloin. That was damn tasty. It's like UB and A1 were meant to be together.

Sriracha. At one point I went through one of those big bottles in the pic in a month. My sphincter hated me, but it was worth it.

I literally put Sriracha on everything... pho of course, pizza, spaghetti, hot dogs, any kind of Mexican food, any plate with rice or noodles, hell I've even used it as a dip for tortilla chips.... so uh, yeah, it's probably my favorite.

Uncle Brutha's and Cholula is good too. Tabasco used to be my hands down favorite, but I guess my taste buds changed or something. oh, and Tapatio is REALLY good (and messy) when you spray it on salt & vinegar chips

I have tried many hot sauces across the warm sun on this Earth. Sometimes I cling on to Mexican green chili sauce but I always come back to Sriracha. People who know hot sauce, know Srirachi. I'm SirBLaughs and I endorse this product.

I used to have dinner with a coworker everynight(worked at a hotel). She used to carry her own hot sauce in her purse because she claimed that our hotel food was too bland. That hot sauce was intense, i can't recall the name but it was a Mexican type, very thick and very orangey-red in color...it wasn't a Spanish name more of an Aztec named, in a small bottle...DAMN i wish i could remember. That came close to Srirachi universal usage lol!

Just tried the combo tonight. I'm pretty sure that is the best thing I've ever tasted.

Yep. Great stuff.....I love it. I used that mixture on my burger last night. The tanginess of the A1 seems to be a perfect match for the smoky flavor of the UB.

I love that stuff. I put it on just about every thing from ramen noodles to burgers/brats. I have even added to chili and pizza.

Sriracha is so addicting, it's almost like you need to put more on to tame the heat with more sweet. It's a delicious cycle...

Just tried Tabasco Sweet & Spicy Pepper Sauce. Barely any heat, mostly sweet. Won't buy another bottle.
