Ubisoft Massive might be the core developers working on the latest Tom Clancy’s game, but Tom Clancy’s The Division weapons are being developed by a different studio: Ubisoft Red Storm.
This is the third development studio that is working on the game and the first to have been hired specially to make just the weapons.
Everyone seems to be really pumped up by the collaboration, and the post that announced the decision lists the comments of many of the developers from both the teams. For instance, Fredrik Rundqvist the Executive Producer at Massive believes that with Red Storm being the birthplace of Tom Clancy’s games, it is something he is looking forward to:
“Red Storm is the birthplace of the Tom Clancy game franchise – having them work with us is a fantastic opportunity. Their expertise in military hardware, weapons and everything Tom Clancy is second to none in the industry. I really look forward to having them onboard and I am sure they will add a lot of amazing things to the game!”
On the other hand, Red Storm producer Tony Sturtzel sound pretty confident about his team and their ability to carve out weapons with authenticity that goes down to each millimeter:
“We know that that we can build absolutely the most authentic piece of equipment, right down to the millimeter. And the guys who are coming in from the gameplay side maybe want to push the envelope a bit, which is a great jumping off point to push the collaboration, because we have to get together regularly and talk about it from both sides.”
The first game ever made by Red Storm was Tom Clancy’s Politika which was developed back in 1997. Since then they have made a couple of dozens of games on the same series. How well do you think Red Storm can work on Tom Clancy’s The Division Weapons?

Yeah I just picked it up last night and played it for a couple of hours. Game is sick so far. I'm really enjoying it.
The content is pretty good and when your doing missions with a partner on hard difficulty it's actually pretty difficult. Especially if you're under geared.
So far this game is awesome. When I'm not at work ill be playing this.
IF anyone gets it for PS4 I'm always looking for good people to play with.

^ I never played Destiny but it's not too bad. The best gear is had in the dark zone, it's not hard to get it. The worst part is running around the map to get from mission to mission.
Anyone playing on Xbox One? If so PM me with your tag, would love to do a few DZ runs.

SamDoe if you still play I just hit rank 30 a few days ago. First day in DZ was last night. Hit rank DZ27.
Gametag on X1 is Johnny Flack.
Currently these are my numbers and what I'm using...
Firearms 1664 with 88,306 DPS from my Vector.
Stamina 2037 with 61,110 HP.
2020 Electronics with 22,725 Skill Power.
I'm going for a tank build. Currently my DPS is a bit high but Im trying to reach 1968 Firearms to unlock a perk on my M1A. Vector final perk will unlock too since it only needs 1889 firearms. I want high HP to tank bosses and Rogues with high skill powers to use lots of smart cover for health/cooldowns. Stickies for Rogue engagements and turrets for AI bosses.
Currently main weapons are a high end crafted Vector 45 ACP, a purchased superior M1A, a looted Custom M870 MCS, and a looted M45A1 I found that does more damage than my Damascus plus gets to use skins.

I do still play but am only at level 17. You are quite a ways ahead of me right now so unfortunately I'll wait till I get up higher in level. I don't spend all that much time with it so I didn't level up that fast. I usually try and find a good group of people to play with. Harder than it sounds...

Been playing this a lot with my buddies. Hit level 30 a couple days back in the Story & DZ. We were shown today a glitch that allows you to hit up the Challenging modes with more than just you & 3 others.
Farmed the Lincoln tunnel on Challenging running with 8 people. Not too hard as long as you get enough folks playing the Support role, and no one trying to go Rambo.

I'm on PC so looks like we cannot group up! (Is there cross-platform playing? I'm not sure...)
But at level 17 and I really did NOT like the game in the firs few levels...but now has gotten into it quite a bit with the DZ stuff (my MMO/RPG addiction is coming back).
As long as I see it as more of a MMO/RPG in WoW style (FPS-ized of course) it's fine. I was for some reason expecting more of a epic FPS/story mode coop but still enjoyable.
my tag is nist777 if anyone wants/can add me. Though I am on the PC version

The lower level grind is what makes it sucky. Once you get above level 10 it starts to pick up since you have access to the DZ. Once in there, and getting cool stuff, it really helps. Also, don't hang out in low level areas if you're a higher level. It starts to suck. I only go into lower level areas to finish out missions and stuff, that's about it.

Yup.
DZ sucks though if you get killed right as you are trying to extract all the goodies...lost some blues that way.
Couple nights ago we had like 10+ agents all playing (no one went rogue) in diff gruops in the same area and it was loot galore....and very safe/easy to extract things
But last night it was just 3 of us and we were in DZ03 trying to fight off lvl 18 elite yellow dues and it was a huge pain....still got lots of goodies but very annoyoing when you die and have to run back and then you have to dodge/get through roaming elites on the way.....
I think it's almost a neccessity to group up At least 3, 4 best to really survive and able to extract gear from DZ.

I've been spending a lot of time in DZ03 lately and I find that most people in DZ03 and down (can't speak for higher up) aren't really out to go rogue and shoot others, they're all there for the same purpose of getting loot and getting out. We had a good time a couple days ago with a group of 8 of us waiting for extraction and fending off the enemies for the entire two minutes. I had to ditch out back to the entrance to restock ammo after that firefight...

Yeah that's what I thought and said to my friend as well...lower levels probably are just to get some nice gear and not want to get into PVP.
Likely at level 30, the end game DZ will likely feature much more PVP since if you do get to kill and take loot from other players it could be quite valuable...something you likely may not have.

I find the opposite.
I find dz1 is infested with rogues trying to get easy kills. Often with gear scores of 200+. So lame. I'm 173 and they destroy me and my time in the same score area.
Going up to dz3 and 4 is nicer than 1 and 2 but rogues will still happily venture up there as AI is still really easy there.
I like dz4 best because I can run to dz5 where I find it the safest. No one kills the bosses there. No one uses the extractions there. And whenever I want to go manhunt I pop some kills in dz2 then run up to 6. By dz5 no one follows you anymore. Its great.

I'm up to level 24 now and it's starting to get interesting with a lot more missions to do. I've started to get a good amount of purple gear which is awesome, my new rifle chews through enemies nicely. Just need a better SMG to finish out my kit. That and increasing critical hit chance and damage and figuring out how to get my skills to regen faster.
Sorry I haven't added you guys, I'll do that when I get on tonight. My tag is CapnCrunch85 if you guys get on before and want to add me.
