when GT2 came out it was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find a copy
I'm sure they'll do better w/ this. I don't think it'll be as big as Halo and GTA SA
esp. since the dates have been switching left and right.
Stores do sell out...like you said, GTA, GT's, i remeber about 2 years ago i was trying to find NCAA Football, and had to go to about 4 different stores to find it. So i imagine they will be scarce. But you prob can find some if you look hard enough.

yea, I didn't pre-order because the dates kept jumping around. best buy had pre-order cards to get the game in march

I figure most don't know the real date, so we'll be fine

Last year I played GT3 on a 27" tv...now GT4 with the wheel and 51" of fury...should be dope.
Right after I ordered this I got a call from my buddy who is training to be an A10 pilot in the Air Force. He just got back from doing simulations on the base in a $5 million flight simulator. Made my little driving setup seem very weak in comparison.

Plus he gets paid to do it.

Same company as the grocery store but they have an Electronics branch too I guess.
my biggest beef with GT3 (and all racing games really) is that its really hard to control the amount you are turning. the joystick is too sensitive, and tapping the directional control just sucks ass. the license test where you go in a circle for example... I always oversteer with the joystick, or its this pita combo of tap gas, tap turn, tap gas, tap turn.
will be nice to have control over the percent of throttle too. ...instead of just on/off,

the throttle isn't on off w/ the controllers. It's touch sensitive

hard to control amount you turn?

sounds like you are the perfect candidate for the wheel

The wheel is awesome, but if you have played with the controller since GT1 like i have, you will have a hard time adjusting. I have mastered feathering the analog and touch sensitive buttons to the point where i can go full circle without under or over steering. What i like about the steering is the 900* mode, along with the force feedback and the racing seat setup, its just like having an arcade in your house.
I just received my DF pro wheel last night and hit up GT3. I've been using a controller since GT1 and it looks like its gonna be while before I start posting up some decent lap times. By default its setup with 60% force for older games like GT3, but when I set it 100% the wheel really comes alive. I was getting a pretty good workout from the rally courses. I ordered mine with the lap attachment, but with this strong force motor its damn near useless. The whole wheel assembly is twists between your legs with all that torque. I also tried Nascar2005. I never liked that game but it is much more enjoyable and accurate with the wheel.

with the analog sticks... D-Pad all the way
