And I was playing some good ole COD4 a little while ago.

 

yeah, but they sacrificed quantity of cars for quality of the graphics...my only gripe is the lack of cars.

Will be picking up TW 2010 soon.
PC hasn't seen much playing time, but the last game was Empire Total War

 

Thats a good game, a little too easy though

 

I was never big into PC games, too many buttons (well for FPS anyway)

 

Thats the whole point

More depth + complexity..

 

its just the whole using the keyboard as directional arrows in comparsion to a console controller that gets me.

 

I think that's totally an age dependent thing. Being an old fart that grew up on the original Doom and Duke Nukem 3D, a keybaord seems completely natural to me and console controllers seem awkward.

 

Keyboard = movement
Mouse = aiming



Most console controllers annoy me.

Oblivion on the PC > Oblivion on my PS3, though its far less annoying than many console ports

 

Believe it or not I grew up on those too!


I just mean the whole like using for instance A, S, D F in place of up down left or right. In duke nukem or doom you actually got to use the directional arrows.

 

Well on a PC you can always change it that.

But when you have other keys doing things like jumping/crouching/dodging/looking around corners, it makes far more sense to do WASD

I still play Lord of the Rings online for the PC.

I have a lvl 60 hunter with some really nice gear

 

Some games controls can be difficult on a keyboard, but the graphic superiority of a PC game wins out over console IMO. Plus a lot of games come out way before console on PC. I remember Rainbow Six Vegas came out on PC like 2 years before it was released on xbox.

Desktop gamers.....please catch up and learn how to use a console controller. Keyboard and mouse is so 1990.

I playeda good deal of FPS on PC back in the day. Starting with the very first Rainbow Six and most of that series after.

 

yeah its still the same gameplay, but the working gauges are sweet.

Once you get used to the control of an FPS on a PC, you will never play an FPS on a console anymore. The controls frustrate me to the point where I can not play them on a console.

Anyways. I am bouncing between CoD4, WoW and Sims 3.. That is really all I have time for. My 360 does not really see a whole lot of use other than a media center.

 

Haven't been playing much... but the last time I played it was MotoGP '08 on the X360...
