Well, I took the console to a guy, he took it up to his appartment, did something(flashed it with some kinda firmware) to the DVD-ROM drive, and now it plays burnt(copies) games. At $10 a pop! WIN!!

My roommate has that. He plays all the major games that come out and even gets them downloaded a week or two before they're actually out.

STILL playing COD4 (360) regularly. I'm about to pop in Drakes Fortune (PS3) and run through it on hard and may do the same with Marvel Ultimate Alliance (360).

^Hard on DF isn't too bad as long as you're not trying to accomplish any of the goals. I played it while trying to accomplish the more obscure goals (the ones you have to go out of your way to do; they were all I had left)...gave up on the goals and just played it. Beating hard unlocks crushing...crushing is insane.

Been playing Crysis and Call of Duty World at War on the PC. I'm about to download the Crysis sequel now. The game is so beautiful!

To answer your other questions, yep, it is a bit repetitive and really nothing but a button masher, but once you get into it its surprisingly fun if you can ignore the obvious holes and contradictions in the story line. The multitude of characters/costumes/abilities really save the game which is the main reason why I stuck with it. The visuals aren't bad either.
I didn't actually buy it, it had come free with my Elite console along with Forza 2. I didn't really like Forza so I decided to at least finish MUA since it was free anyway.
MUA2 is not on my list of purchases and I don't really like the "fusion" idea. But I may rent it just to try it out.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a very slow starter, in fact I had stopped playing it for over 3 months until I decided to pick it up again.
