What type of system does one need to make CSs run at highest resolution with all the graphics wihout affecting the fps???

 

I have an Athlon64 3000+ O/C to 2.2, Geforce 6800GT, 1GB memory. I run at 1280x1024 w/ AA/AF maxed, and it runs smoothly.

and to answer your question, i'm guessing a Athlon64 3000+ and an X800 Pro should do the trick, if you want to be sure just grab an X800 XT

 

P4 3.2 1GB ram ati radeon x800 xt, i use 800x600 like the pros and it runs well

1024x768 is still the best res for perfomance/looks

 

some games/video card will run better at higher res then low res...u should play around witht he setting.

 

800x600 is the best if you want to get more headshots.

 

look at the cpl winners cfgs from the last few years.. you will find a shitload of 8x6 and a few others.... its what im used to. I'll use my video card how i like.

I use 1024x768 32bit with these settings : rate 20000 , cl_updaterate 60 , cl_cmdrate 101 <------ been so long i forgot if thats what it is called?

The video card is most important. Radeon uses less pipes than geforce Most people agree the geforce smokes the ati.
