Transformers Video Game

Although the PS2 atari version was fun, the lack of a multiplayer online mode really killed it for me. I hope that this one picks up that missing spot with XBOX live.
Also, there is an audio clip you can listen to in the middle of the page on that link above. It's worth hearing megatrons voice!

Cullen, Welker sign on for Transformers game
Original voices of Optimus Prime, Megatron reprise roles for Activision game based on battling bots movie; audio clip, new screens inside.
Back in the 1980s, children were riveted to their television sets to watch the ongoing battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons. The "robots in disguise" became a sensation, and one of that generation's most popular catchphrases was the animated series' famous battlecry, "Autobots, roll out!"
The man behind that line is Peter Cullen, who voiced the Autobot leader, Optimus Prime. Also lending vocal talent to the show was Frank Welker, who provided the raspy voice of Decepticon leader Megatron.
Today, Activision announced that both Cullen and Welker (pictured above) have signed on to reprise their roles in the publisher's upcoming Transformers: The Game, based on the DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures film Transformers, due out in early July.
"As Transformers fans, we knew the importance of having the well-known voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron in the game,” said Activision head of production Laird Malamed.
In addition to sending shivers down the spines of kids as Megatron, Soundwave, Buzzsaw, and other Transformers, Welker has done voice work for The Simpsons, Kingdom Hearts II, and New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Party 5 as Bowser. Cullen also provided the voices for fellow Transformers Ironhide and Slugslinger and the sheepish Eeyore of Winnie the Pooh fame.
For more on their inspirations for the voices and involvement in the Transformers film and game, read GameSpot's Q&As with Peter Cullen and Frank Welker.
Transformers: The Game will be released on multiple platforms this summer. Traveller's Tales is developing the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2, and PC versions, Savage Entertainment is developing the PlayStation Portable edition, and Vicarious Visions is working on the two DS versions.

When will you remember that no one cares about anything TF related unless its G1. From now on, lets pretend that Armada and Beats Wars etc, etc never existed. Um-kay
Thanks.
Of course, if we pretend they never existed, you couldn't partake in any of these TF threads seeing as you never watched G1
.

I have to agree with dom though, I tried to watch beast wars, but thought it was a little crappy. As for armada and energon. well I haven't watched a single episode and know nothing of the story. G1 FTW!

I can't tell you how many times I walked past buildings with Prime or Ironhide, only to watch those environments fall apart in a fiery heap because I happened to brush against them. Wreaking havoc is nowhere near as fun when it happens by accident just as frequently as it does on purpose.

all they had to do was make a game like mech assault where you choose your bot, choose between a weopon or two, some equipment, and then you pick your team and voila, instant online multiplayer 8 on 8 transformer action.
that would have been an awesome game! imagine all these transformers transforming around you and doing shyt, that would have been an awesome sight.
Yea the DS version sucks as well and hey I like Beast Wars, it was good to watch when they stop airing the old ones. But the ones after beast wars sucks, especially the last one they came out with, it reminded me of pokemon in that they would say out loud what are they firing at the enemies...
