Supreme commander demo is out!

Gamespot only download, as far as I know.

It's a 1 gig demo (are demo sizes getting just a SLIGHT bit ridiculous), so at the 'free' account transfer rate, takes a mere 5 hours to download. *puke*

The dual monitor support should be neat.
I must be getting old or something, I don't think I can handle battles with a thousand units flying all over the place.

I downloaded it also. I'm confused as to how to generate more money, or however the currency system works. There seems to be to much going on for my liking.....

yeah tons more at the gamespot link.

btw I dl'ed the demo and installed it.. I could not play it for longer than 5 minutes. I must be getting old because I just didn't find myself having any patience to start and build everything up, wait for the stuff to accumulate, etc. lol. Uninstalled immediately. :<

i just picked up the full version, this game is really intense, but loads of fun!

edit*, for anyone confused on how to start, it's important to build as many mass extractors and power generators to start, then you can begin to queue units better.

Picked up the full version yesterday. The first game took me 2.5 hours to complete. Very involved and pretty cool.

Strategy is the name of the game in this one.

I agree with the previous poster. Get as many extractors and power generators up as early as you can.

It's not so much resources you have to build up, but rather having a positive ratio of power/mass generated to power/mass needed.
