ya that woudl be cool. My name is ACL Paul... nice name huh. lol i only played like 3 times so far, the maps are so confusing.

 

What did it go up to ? Figures I have my worst night in 2 months and rank goes up..

 

Go figure.. yours went up however last night I was playing with Stern and had a very good game..all like 10-2 , 9-1 , 11-3 ect..
and mine got worst like by 30K

 

That's what I've been saying when I play bad I go up but when I play good it goes down.. When I say bad I mean just like a even death to kill ratio..

 

hehhehe... Me, Smitty, & Steve played some breach maps as seals against Ted, Jim, & Phil last night....... fuck.......... we all lost SOOOOOOOOOOOO much rank. lol

i started the night under 30k with wings. lol

 

I went up while my kill ration went down. Playing against you higher ranked guys and me with the butter sticks really helped. Then playing against the SeaSnipers and killing some captains really helped!

lol we all got killed by Jim. he was playing ok last night.

ferizzo was lagging like CRAZY. making me so mad...

there was this one point...

ferizzo was standing still... running in place... ted and I both came up on him...... shot him for a good 10 seconds... said over headset "wtf" we shot him some more......... then finally... 30 seconds later..... were dead and not him!

 

i wonder if theres some sort of handicapping in this game.

cuz... jim is reminding me of phil when he started.

phil had this amazing shot, as if he got headshots every time he pressed trigger. made no sense... first day playing game.

jim seems to be doing same shit... killing mad quickly.


but..... phils shot turned into mush once his rank improved... and i mean... jim is like brand new...


just doesnt add up.

I think there is a handicap because I notice my M603 jams more often now that I am a higher rank. When I was an ensign that gun was money!

Yeah, I noticed I was lagging and ted noticed it as well later on.

 

yea i notice that too... when i was under 10k my gun seemed to jam wayyyyyy more than normal.


also its fucked how underdog teams can manage to keep up even tho u know they shouldnt.


fuck last night... at one point phil was in that right hall on Death Trap... got hit with grenade after grenade... then i put half a clip center of his chest...

then he fires... BAM IM DEAD. lol



i also noticed now that Teds rank has improved.... he doesnt kill me as much. He used to get 1 shot kills with fucking machine gun.

He seems to be better... but just doesnt kill me as easily.

Whats the point of handicapping? I don't like it because it makes people like me who are so-so play well against people who are better. If you are better and shoot the guy first you should win!

 

i dunno. i think again... it has something to do with team configuration


i notice it much more in small games 4-6 people... i rarely feel like ive... or someone else has been handicapped when its 8v8

 

i guess its kinda cool... makes games like last night interesting. but ghey for fucking my rank

i just bought component video cables and a new controller...... so ITS ON NOW.

And what type of controller did you buy? I bought one a couple weeks ago, but was unhappy with it so I returned it and bought a new Sony one, clear gray plastic.

 

I probably won't be on till after midnight because I gotta pick up the router and stuff then spend QT with the wife.

well actually not true... been wanting to get Monster Cable... but their soo much cheaper online then in stores... and i been too lazy to buy online.


anyway... at best buy they had Monster components, standard PS2 Components, and MadCatz components.

The MadCatz were only $10....... the sony were $25... and the monster $60. i said fuck it and went with the madcatz... if im not pleased, fuck it... im out $10. but i figure there cant be much of a quality difference from different types of component cables in a VIDEO GAME.

i wanna kick myself for saying that since all the cables in my system are over $50+ each. but fuck it.


i also never hooked up the optical audio... been too lazy to find my box of cables. lol

Yea, I have been using the Sony component cables for about 2 years now and it does look sweet. Definitely worth the investment. And yea, I can't imagine much of a difference in quality for a video game, no way would I spend the money on monster cable ones.

That is the exact one I got, but returned it a few days later. It was really comfortable, I liked the leather on the sides. My problem with it was that the L3 and R3 were to easy to press, and the way I have it set up, I would suddenly go from full auto to single shot in a fire fight. Maybe it was just a bad one, but I decided to stick with what I know and just got a new Sony one.
