pretty sweet... took like 5 minutes to load and 10 minutes to watch...

I like it... I did not see anyone get sniped or throw a friggen grenade...

that dude with M60 layed the smack down on 2 guys at the same time..

the vehicles look tight... i think it will be a pretty cool game till some assholes find out how to gltich the shit out of it.

 

agree that gameplay > graphics.

this looks awfully "arcadey" though. could just be the whacked framerate on the video...

but vehicles do not appear to move naturally at all... very simple looking movements.

it still looks like theres plenty of shoot and strafe nonsense. when the first round starts he's in front of two enemies strafing back and forth loading a clip into one before finally dying 5 seconds later.

this is on a controlled connection on a private network.

imagine with 100,000 people online.

i'll get the game and pray to the stars its kickass. i'm betting it has more quirks than ever though.

hopefully they refine that UI too. it looks like some crap outta ghost recon.

oh well... im looking forward to it... but not getting my hopes up.

 

I'll be getting the new XBOX when it comes out... can't see myself playing PS2 ever again after it (XBOX360) is released.

Sniping is much more fun when you're on a map in a dense city with 63 other people. With, F-15's and Cobra helicopters flying overhead, and M1-A2 abrams rolling down the streets below.

Battlefield: Modern Combat is NOT Battlefield 2.

You wouldn't even be able to do most of the shit you can do in Battlefield 2 on a console. The controls are too limited.

I bought a gaming system (X-box/PS2) just for gaming..

I can only imagine there are probably 200X more glitchers on PC games than any other gaming system.....

There's virtually no glitching in PC games thanks to admins online in nearly every server, and the help of PunkBuster.

I've been playing Battlefield 2 daily for 4 weeks and have yet to experience cheating, glitching, or extreme lagging.People with high pings (laggers) are typically booted within 60 seconds. The same can be said for most any PC game.

PC games are a much bigger market for multiplayer gaming then consoles, they are far more refined. This is why XBOX is better than PS2, because it's based on PC gaming whereas PS2 has reinvented the wheel.

 

Also it's funny how we've all been playing together online for like 2 years now, and we're still haven't found anything better then SOCOM II on the consoles. Yet SOCOM II was just a clone of PC based games (like Counter Strike).

Meanwhile, the PC variants have matured by 2 or 3 versions since SOCOM II came out. SOCOM II never even got new maps. Now their just squeezing in SOCOM III to steal some of our money. Shame.

Na, I use the PC for Gaming. Strictly for Gaming.

Mac gets used for work.

 

I just never thought long and hard on PC games.... I like having a dedicated gaming system..

 

As I have been bored with most of the recent console games I have thought about getting a PC gaming system. But with Xbox 360 just months away I think I will just hold out for that

plus, a gaming PC is just a top of the line PC, you can use it for much more than just gaming. were talking a couple hundred bucks here... shit... less than a good meal these days.

Fact is, FPS games were/are made for PC's. They always have and always will be better on PC's. It comes down mostly to the fact that you have far more control with a keyboard/mouse then a couple button handheld controller.

Sony better do something real soon.. X360 is going to bury them.

 

I am going to wait a few weeks to see how the lag is. If the game is not a big improvement I will just save my money for some new 360 games
