we played well the first game when everyone was willing to work together.

the second game we obviously were at a disadvatage and became disheartened...

desert glory absolutely nobody cooperated and people were doing plain dumb shit.

regardless... we had a close game and we def could of had it. individually everyone played very well. as a team... we tapered off after the first game.

we need to practice more on the small/hectic maps in large rooms... cuz people do not cooperate well on them.

on the slow maps where we can take our time we manage to regroup and pull together well.

Ok, IMO we lost one too many rounds where it was 4 against 2, 3 against 1 at the end and we absolutely have to wait til you regroup with the other person/s.. I cannot stress anymore how important it is.. If there's only 2 or 3 on our team left take the initiative and regroup with the other person.. I know first instinct is to go after someone if you see them but when it's only a few left, hold off, call it out then when everyone is together then roll.. We have always said we need to go out in pairs and it's the same at the end of the round.. Sorry had to vent...

good points by all....i fucked up on a few maps where we could've pulled it even. My apologies. I know the "right" thing to do but get trigger happy and end up doing the wrong thing. I guess i'm just used to frag-fest via quake/doom. I need to get to a point where i'm just reacting and not thinking. I played ok in rat's nest last night for the first time ever. Desert Glory was horrid. I should've just left the hostages and take on the seals enroute to the extraction. I'm sure you would've one had ted3.0 been around last night. My apologies again and i'll keep improving.

zap, it wasn't just you, it was all of us. It sucks but Soopa and Jonesi are right in that we all become trigger happy and want that last kill. We were all guilty of it and it seemed we communicated a lot less in the second and third maps. We were unstoppable in rats nest when everyone went in pairs and when we were outnumbered stuck together and communicated. then I think we got rattled and started rolling dolo in Fish hook. People were running off and doing their own. Shit, I was as guilty as any since I ran off with a partner only 2 or 7 rounds. Thats a tough map to not be organized. We should have had DG but Jonesi/soopa summed it up.

I will try and do my part and pair up with someone on every map. I think individually we played well and it seemed like everyone had a great round here and there. I think the team we had was money although Ted is one of our better players as a terrorist on DG. We just need to talk a little more and continue pairing off (sorry, broken record). 0-3 is not a good start yet I feel we have been very competitive in all three losses (the last two especially!).

Silver has done a good job picking out battles and I will look into a few myself...but I will focus on bottom feeders and let you guys know (I try and look tonight).

I will say its been fun playing with y'all....just sucks that we keep losing!

Zap it wasn't just one persons fault, we're a "Team" bottom line.. And I would like to encourage you to play with us more often, you defintley did your share.. Everyone just Needs to back off the trigger and wait for back-up..

I was 0-2 on DG and kept dying til soop helped me realize that I wasn't killing people with my grenades in the spot I was throwing.. Went to a different spot and got 16 kills.. We need to help each other like that.. We started on the same side so he was able to see what was going on and pass the feedback along..

Another thing is if you're constantly dying in a certain area maybe it's best to let them come through and try a different angle.. If you keep dying like that then you need to move to a differnt spot and i was guilty of that on DG..

Fish Hook is just a tough map to get by on.. We had a couple good ideas but maybe we held back too long.. Seemed to work well holding off and then rushing middle and left breach..

We defintley had Alot less Tk's then in the past few matches..

We won many games without Ted while he was remodeling his house, we were 7-3 in prior GB.. That's not the issue.. Sure he has his strong points like all of us but we all also have weak points.. And it's good to mix things up..

There were 3 points that were constantly gone over last night that we need to improve on:

a) Stick together off the start and take it slow..
b) After the "battling", regroup and get back to each other to help..
c) If you are dying in a certain spot back away and try something new..

Edit: We're stronger as a Team not individually... Let's use it to our advantage..

Jonesi,
yea def we win and loose as a team but I'm not gonna shuck personal responsibility in the matter either. Not beating myself up or anything but I think it's important just to say, "ok i fucked up and realize what I did". This game is as much about skill as it is about thinking and staying calm. When i stay calm i play well. I freak out sometimes when i know it's all riding on me....not because i can't do it, but because I know better players are watching and I want to hold up my end of the bargin....i think to much....SOCOM is a re-actionary game based on knowing how to play before hand not figuring it out during because against better teams u'll lose.

1. agreed. Must must must must travel in packs.

2. we really communicated well last night despite our loss on DG calling out snipers and shit REALLY REALLY put us at an advantage. I think had it not been for questionable tactics by RPM....obviously chatting via AIM and or phone we could've done well. That map also could've been pulled out twice if i had done a better job. I hate camping with the hostages. Much prefer to take out seals as they are escorting hostages.

It's funny you say all that b/c I've been playing for 2 years since the first socom and everything you describe I still do.. I might be a tad bit calmer but still do the same stuff. We all do, I don't think it will go away.. Just don't get frustrated..

Everyone has good games and bad games we just need to expect it and play a little more consistent as a "Team"... You have to expect people to have bad games.. But if you're in pairs atleast the other can help..

Zap, like you I hate being the last guy standing because the pressure gets to me. In the past I would have been gung-ho and tried killing everyone who is left but last night I just sat back and waited in RN. I rather take the draw than the loss.

You did the same once also, except you came out like rambo and killed all three terrorist and won the round!!!

lol saw your avatar title.....yea def......RN you opened up on them. Once they figured out I was onthe right the m67s took care of my ass.

I don't necessarily hate the pressure...i like it but just get fearful of letting down the team with a stupid mistake of some sort. Like in DG i unloaded an m60 clip then was told the door needs to be open
