now here is a real challenger to GT4.... Enthusia, for PS2.

you know what Xbox's biggest Achille's heel is for racing games? The controller... the controller is so bunk ass that you would never feel good driving any racing game with it. The PS2's controller feels beautiful with racing games... it's all about the analog and the general better-built feel coupled with the class-leading ergonomics. The shoulder buttons on the Xbox feel terrible - the 'S' controller is better, but still leaves something to be desired. Find me a way to use the MOMO Force wheel with Xbox, and Forza may have a chance. Until then, PS2 may have the 2nd closest competitor to GT4.... this is quite impressive realism... in fact, some reviews say this game is TOO realistic... to the point of detracting from from the enjoyment of the game...

Game looks good, but the pics are replay shots.. I'd like to see some in-game screens (video isn't loading quickly enough)

I doubt it will look any better than GT4 as the PS2 is pretty much tapped out with that game.

Time for the Xbox2 and PS3.. This gen is getting long in the tooth.

 

To be honest, I like the looks of this better than GT4. Significantly better car models, IMO.

I'll chime in on the "S" controller....I like it.

 

I like the original XBox controller. I have orangutang arms and hands, so the bigger size really fits me.

 

XBox controller really confuses me..
I can never pass a football to the 'X' receiver.

 

S controller is better but PS2 has the perfect form factor, button layout, etc., are leaps and bounds better.

this game will lack the level of tuning found in the Gran Turismo series. It will have some level of tuning though, but the developers are aiming for more of a sim feel. Also with the PS2's lack of anti aliasing, i highly doubt the game will look that smooth. That is more a replay thing then anything. I will get it because i am a sucker for racing games. That and the fact i am trying to get all that i can get outta my logitech wheel.

 

actually I have the adapter to hookup ps2 controller to xbox... haven't tried it yet tho... has anyone tried it...

I agree, enthusia will not be at the same level as gt4... however I will definitely give it a try. the video is impressive... what i'm real excited about is the added level of physics realism that is in this game and gt4... gt4 has an upgraded physics engine that is just gonna be alotta fun... see the volvo video in the gt4 thread LOL...

to each his/her own... Personally the PS2 controller is a little too small for my hands and is a little too angular. Both the PS2 and S controller are way better than the GC controller though IMO.

 

I saw people playing the demo of the Enthusia at Tokyo Auto Salon last week. The graphics of the cars seems to be not so far from those of the GT4 (which I already own) but the details of the track arent that great compared with the GT4 IMO.

 

s controller owns. tried playing tiger woods last night with ps2. garbage.

 

I'm not buying another car racing game until i get GT4!!
