I caved in and bought it at a friends request.
Theres so many references to Starship Troopers.

I haven’t felt the repetitiveness yet.
But I’ve personally enjoyed DMZ and to a less extent MWZ and while those got repetitive each time I did a mission it was unique in experience.
plus it’s fun to drop in with your buddies to finish missions and shoot up some bugs or robots.
Still not a fan of third person but im tolerating it.
