Did they show any of it at E3? I haven't seen anything... I was hoping for more gameplay footage. Would be interesting to get a more in-depth look at the battle system on this one.

Is it being relaunched as a graphics only update, or is it being updated to something like the FF XIII battle system?

Same story and everything but with a completely updated look and restyling. So, essentially, what you've seen in the recent FF games will now be what is apparently in the reboot of FF7.

Well that's good they didn't mess with the story. 7 is easily my favorite of the franchise.

FF7, FF4 and FF6 were great games. FF9 is also terrific.

I enjoyed 7, 8, 9, 11 & 13 (13-2 was better/much more open).
Didn't care for 10, never played 10-2, and IIRC 12 was online only.

I only played any before 7 in limited amounts. A bit of 3 & 5, I think.

Which is what fantards are complaining about now I think we all saw this coming. Go watch any FF7 remake videos anywhere and the comment section is full of people whining about how they changed the battle system. Some are talking about "boycotting" the game, telling others not to buy it. Fantards ruin everything, don't they? This is why developers tend to not want to give the gamers what they want, since they whiny, jaded brats who are never satisfied.

So, finally, this game gets released...but, with the COVID-19 lockdowns, the game may be late to ship now.

ohh man i got alot of games to play now

Funny enough I have FFVII for PS1, but i never opened the package

I bought it when i had the Thicc 60GB PS3, but I just couldn't bring myself to playing it with the dated graphics compared to the PS3.

This game scarred me a little with a memory card failure on PSX. I think I did beat this on my PS3 but I have to check. I'll probably get in on it when it price drops.

I did not pre-order as I never really played any FF games other than VI, briefly.

Might pick the remake if it comes out on Switch (there's Playstation exclusivity for 1 year). The Switch really encourages me to play games more, due to its convenience. I have been playing a lot more JRPGs as a result.

I missed out on the PS1 and so, only got to play this fantastic series when it came out on PC. Took out all the weapons including Ruby and Emerald.

I've seen the YouTube videos on how to take them out, especially Ruby. I'd have never figured them out. Speaking of tough games, did you ever play Dark Souls 3?

No sir. My last adventure game after finishing MGS and BB was attempting to get going on the last of the Arkham games where I basically always stop once I start driving the Tankmobile. I then started to play the Lara Croft game where she is picking up her Dad's trail but also have just failed to get much traction...

More or less was grinding it out on GT Sport for the last few months until I got to Professional's F-1500T series. Been more or less off gaming for the last few weeks.

DS3, like any, is rough at first, but when you hit that groove it's great. Probably the 2nd hardest boss in an optional DLC boss (aren't all DLC bosses fucking hard) I've ever faced in all Fromsoft games (including Demon Souls, but not Sekiro).

I'll see...with FF7 incoming, that may take up much of my gaming and the Last of Us 2 to take me to the PS5. I'll consider it though, thanks man. I guess the DS games are the opposite of BB in that it's more defensive versus the latter which is more based on offense/attack...

I love FF7. Such a classic.

I wonder if they will port it over to PlayStation?

Not really. DS3 is the closest to BB as far as rolling and dodging. In my playthrough I didn't bother with shields. Sub-Reddit says shields are not as good as previous games.

Well, it arrived!

Now, the 12 years needed to install the darn game.

Probably will start tonight. No way Little Cha will let me game while he's awake.

Yeah, have not seen her yet except in a flashback from Cloud's childhood. So far, pretty good. Very nice-looking game.

Yes.

There was this chick by the name of Kat-something Moonfox or something who did a nice rendition of Tifa a few years ago.

Back to the topic at hand, admittedly, I didn't play a lot of FFVII, I really got into things with FFX and still have it for PS2.. I did know about 7 when it came out but now with the remake, I'm very tempted to pick it up and play it through

In this day and age with everything, another thing to distract you at home to keep you at home does not hurt.

So, yeah...buy it.

The PS4, sir.

I rarely game on the PC anymore. Not really since my college days...though, the Surface Studio should be decent to game most stuff...just not really a traditional rig for PC games. I really want to pick up the Three Kingdoms game on Steam.

Btw while the ports are available on different consoles, the remake is only available on PS4.
