I'll eat the 3 after Wet Nurse as per the requirements. And yeah I hear the old man is the hardest.

No...do NOT eat any of them. If you want the TRUE ending, you do NOT consume ANY cords.

K...since you know it's Gehrmann is going to be a boss, just note this: He's not as hard as Father G. It's a "similar" fight as his combos are insanity. BUT, he's still manageable. I had him taken out after 2 tries...more knowing when to play keep-away. You'll be fine.

Yeah I can't even find the cords in my inventory anyways. Where can I see how many I have? Pretty sure I have 2 now.

I took out Micolash on my 2nd try last night. Gotta love how he talks and the music. Stopped there for the night.

Micolash is probably the easiest boss in the game...I was surprised how easily he went down to be honest! The stage is rather creepy though, and I guess the "difficulty" is tracking him.

In regards to your cords, it's in your inventory like everything else. Did you store them in the Hunter's Dream's item box possibly...? It would suck if you accidentally consumed them.

Def not consumed. I guess I'll just walk over to Gehrmann and if I fight the Moon then I did it right.

And you have to tell him to "PFO" on his offer.

I think you'll do fine. Just level up and make sure you have the right equipment ready. The good news is after he dies, you can "die" again to prep for the Moon Beastie...

Yeah so I beat the game Friday night. I beat Margo the first time. Dodged her attacks pretty easily, ran away from the clone, stabbed her in the back a bunch. Then I was like ok let's take a shot at the boss. Took him down my 4th time. Parried him, rolled through his moves, promptly murdered during his huge arcane blast so learned about that quick. Then Moon on my 3rd try. When she blasts you with her super arcane just regained with huge sword combos. Pretty meh ending but very satisfying. In NG+ took down Cleric Beast and your boy Father G first time around. Much easier this time since I got good . Might do more dungeons but yeah pretty done here. Thanks for your help on the posts. Game was fun and satisfying and glad I actually beat a Souls game. Not sure I'll try BS3 but I might just clear out my current library first like MGSV, GOT, etc.

Congrats, Doomie! You've now passed your rite of manhood.

Yeah, get to MGSV then...that game will yet wow you more. Glad you enjoyed Bloodborne...It's a game worth revisiting...when we have time. Which we don't.

I would not mind upping the Old Hunter's nutbar weapon...but, again, just a nice-to-have and only if I have time. Trying to wrap up MGSV's final missions and upping my resources so that I can develop some cool weapons.

Lower Pthumerian Dungeon. Bloodletting beast is tough. Makes me want to hang it up. Don't feel like grinding as I'm already over 100. Bloodstarved Beast is really tough. Not looking forward to the Woods or harder levels.

Now that you've finished the game, if you use the last $$$$ farming route I told you about (the darkened upper cathedral with the brainsuckers and werewolves), you will level up really quickly...and get heaps of Blood Chunks!

Honestly I'm getting like 150k per run through Hemlock (starting at the Witch's Abode) and it takes like 7 mins. The 3 Grim Reaper dudes give like 20k each drop an average of 3 blood vials. Plus they're the only ones strong enough to kill me and they really can't unless I fuck up. I remember you told me about the Cath Ward route with the Giants and Priest dudes but they're wayyyyyyy too strong offensively in NG+. Which route are you describing above? Werewolves on NG+ BTW are SUPER strong offensively and I'm like level 125 now.

I beat Vicar Amelia on my second try but BSB is sooooo much harder in NG+ though I struggled with her the first go around too. As of right now my top 3 hardest bosses are Father G (if you're a noob), Logarious, and BSB pushed out Ebrietas. And I think that's including the Chalice bosses so far but I still have to do Loran and Isz and then maybe the Rooted versions as apparently that's where good items are. Plus my PS+ just ended as it was useless for me so I don't think I can access them. I've already lost where I see Messages and Specters. That cursed one with half HP looks LOLWTF.

Ahhh...right! You're on NG+. It's a bit too late to level up then. I realized I powered up to where I am now by taking on the darkened Upper Cathedral (with the brainsuckers and werewolves inside the church) before I finished the game the 1st time. This is the stage before you fight the giant Mushroom head. So, it starts off at the lamp across the bridge where you deal with a bunch of little baby celetial beings, I think...then, you swing left and take out some crows and up the stairs to your first brainsucker. If you sneak up and visceral attack, that's a pile of $$$...like 80,000 I believe. Then, you deal with your 1st werewolf who charges you from the right-end of the hall...you run back into the room you took out the sucker and cheap-kill the wolf for more $$$$ and usually a Blood Chunk. You go into the door the wolf had guarded and another brainsucker you can visceral...into another hall with another brainsucker you can sneak up and visceral and out the main foyer. You go down the stairs and 3 werewolves will charge you. Run back into the hall you took out the recent briansucker and cheap-kill all 3...

Go down the stairs, kill the brainsucker patrolling the hall but, can be snuck up on and voila, you get like a PILE of $$$$...way more than your run in about 5-7 minutes.

Ohhhh ok I found it in the guide. Yeah I have to visit Yahar'gul TWICE before unlocking that. Plus I need that Visceral blood echo rune. I have the one that gives you health for a VA but not money. Not sure if I'll even finish NG+. I can't do shit until I take out BSB since I need the moon to change to get to Yahar'gul. That's like 4 or 5 levels in minutes. Maybe if I end up getting that far again.

Yeah, okay...that's the "disconnect" then! I mean, it sounds like it's too late for you and that's rather deep into the game and you're already on NG+. If I'm playing again, I'm going to for the most part not require farming for awhile until maybe I unlock Cainhurst? But, we'll see...again, need to finish MGSV and these days, I've been watching the NBA and between that, Game of Thrones (working our way through the Season 5 BR set now and on Episode 3). Too much to do, too little time...

No sir. I may if it goes for a deep discount. But, I'm otherwise happy with just the main game for now.

I might have some free time this weekend. It's $20 which seems steep for 4 bosses but I got the game for like $15 or $20 and getting my money's worth. And some of the weapons are very nice.

Did you get Gerhmann's weapon? It's pretty good in it's own right. Just no charge mechanism...

No I'm a stubborn mule when it comes to changing things. I think I wore 2 outfits until I needed to strengthen my poison resistance and then not again until frenzy was an issue. I've been almost exclusive to the Ludwig sword. I can get it in the shop right?

Yep! Gehrmann's weapon is in the shop...worth trying out...definitely got a nice reach and decent speed. But, I'm with you, I love Ludwig's Sword. I did warn you it was an awesome weapon.

Did you end up powering it up to it's max with the final Blood piece by going after the Eye of Sauron?

Yeah and then I promptly stabbed the fuck out of him. I can buy another Blood Rock from the Insight Shop since I have 99 Insight. Not sure if I'd use it since I have the Cleaver at +6 still.

Yeah, it was a satisfactory kill...I was sick and tired of him causing the frenzies.

So, ultimately, how would you rank this game now that you climbed the mountain...? One of the best you've played?

Certainly one of the best I've played. I think my fave PS4 games so far are this and Arkham Knight and I love Bats. Those two are the ones I've probably put in the most time. A distant 3rd would be Rock Band 4 but I tend to play RB3 for PS3 because of the song licensing BS and it just plays better. However I still got some monsters on the queue including Phantom Pain, Last of Us, Shadow of Mordor. I've only had my PS4 since October though. I don't know how the heck they say there are no games out. Even if I had beaten those games I just got Transformers and I'd probably get Dark Souls 3 since they said it's most similar to BB.

Oh...MGSV may take up a spot in your top-list. While the story has it's quirks (Kojima has to Kojima) and it's confirmed to now be "unfinished", the game overall is still a masterpiece. Just the freedom you have and the wild assortment of depths you can go is just terrific. And the graphics.

I do have Bloodborne on my killer-app list but as you can see in this thread, it's just a sentiment shared by um...2 people.

Once I wrap up Season 5 of GoT, I should be able to continue playing games more regularly...I've been on a hiatus for the last few weeks as I've been watching the 5 seasons of GoT on Blu-Ray. Good thing Season 6 doesn't come out for awhile on disc.

You need to get HBO Go for a month (does Canada offer?) to watch season 6 of GoT.

I didn't care for the demo of TLOU but it came with my PS4 and it's supposed to be great. Plus Naughty Dog is an excellent studio. When Uncharted 4 goes on sale I'm so getting it.

HBO in Canada is stupid...you need to buy a package of OTHER channels that we do not need. Pricey too. So, I just wait for the discs. It's fine, we have enough to do as it is...good series though. Glad I finally watched it.

I cheered when Joffrey died.

Ramsay is a close second to who I want to see die a horrid death.

Changing the subject before a spoiler leaks, yeah BB is NOT for everyone. Very challenging. I entered Loran Dungeon last night. Had to farm Ritual Blood (4)'s.

I've only done the main dungeons. Nothing defiled or root or anything. My PS+ is turned off so I think I'm out of gas.

Dumb question: What does your PS+ account have to do with this...?

I read that you need online access (mandatory on PS+) to get to certain chalices.

Hrmmmm...well, I do have a PSN account but, not PS+...I don't believe there is a "pay" aspect required to complete the dungeons?

Yeah but it's the player created chalice dungeons. I think the ones with weapons I might still be able to explore. Speaking of which, I posted a video fighting the Abhorrent Beast (PS Share is fucking great). Watch him kick my ass the whole fight and then I make a nice comeback.
