when i turn on my PS2 it says to enter a formatting disk

Unplug the PS2 for a few hours and then plug it back in and boot it up, if it still doesnt work, buy a new one and return the old one.

take care of your shit.... keep the Unit clean.... dust will ruin a PS2 or X-box in a matter of months.
