The trial subscription codes cannot be added to existing accounts (I have tried). The are only able to be activated for NEW accounts. You basically have to buy a 1-year subscription at $50 (or it will automatically bill your credit card that you provided when you initially set up your account.

 

um...yes they can, you have to pay for the year first and they you can go into the dashboard and supply a new trial code, and then call up xbox live and get them to refund you the money or so the guy at Xbox said, ididn't bother, shit its only 50 bones for 12 months, I pay 3x's that a month for my damn cable and internet bill and use it a 1/8 of the time haha....ph well

 

does xbox automatically bil your account after your year is up or do you have to confirm it?

Side note: I was debating about changing my current gamer tag. I know of a few that have done this. How do I do this? Will I still be on everyone else's lists (just under a new name)? How does this work if Bungie/Xbox Live allows it?
