I totally agree, when I got my 360, the first game that I bought was Call Of Duty 2... I got so hooked on it... when I started playing Perfect Dark Zero... it was such a disappointment....
...yet all the magazines and game sites rated it so high...

PDZ is a different type of game compared to Halo or COD2.. It is slower paced more like Timesplitters or the original PD.
The game is great online and the later single player chapters get pretty good. Overall it is decent but not as good as COD2 or Halo IMO.

I'm playing single player.
There is too much visually going on to the point of distraction.
The "Chandra" character is annoying as fuck. She never shuts up...and if you don't figure out how to do something right away she keeps repeating herself. I had to fucking hit the mute button before I broke my tv.
The goals are not clearly defined, there is HUD map, you don't really know where youre going or what youre doing half the time.
The controls don't feel good or precise.
The game is just a giant mess. I wonder if I take it back after a day and complain that it sucks if blockbuster will let me rent something else instead.
This game seriously just sucks.

Perfect Dark Zero: Played this on Xbox Live. Do not play Quake 4 before playing this game. This game feels like you're playing in slow motion. I don't think I'd be playing this game if I had Quake 4. None of us really liked this game. I didn't like the character models, Looked too cartoony. I didn't feel a part of the game. It reminded me of Time Splitters on PS2, which was a similarly average FPS.

All I know is playing the demo for Quake 4 was cool.
This game is annoying garbage...I'm losst half the time waiting for those super annoying glowing arrows to show up...but even they are hard to follow because if you start going with them, they move to another part of the floor.

Well, I took it back to Blockbuster...I got the whole "We don't do that...but I'll let this once" speil.
It's kinda like, hey asshole, I just spent 7-8 bucks for a 7 days rental...and I'm bringing it back one day in...just exchange and get off your high fucking horse.
Anyway, everything else was out...their selection sucks. So, now I have a credit...whoopety doo...
I don't know why I have switched to netflix yet...

The single player of this game does absolutely blow chunks. I was dismayed that rare would make shuch a thing. The multiplayer is barable, but I would just much rather play a different game.
I can't beleive that you need arrows in a game to show you where to go, but you do, and the enemy ai meh. The graphics are sometimes neat, but usually just shiney and poorly done.
I didn't get to rent it though, I wish I could get the full purchase price back.
