If you go to Nintendo World in NYC, they have a display case with a bunch of historical Nintendo artifacts. This includes all Nintendo hardware from the NES onward, but it also includes a bunch of Game and Watches from the 80s. It even includes some Nintendo card games. (Nintendo was founded as a card game maker.)
So my Secret Santa came through for me this year. Instead of socks, I got the Zelda Game and Watch.
I was worried about the form factor after playing for it for the first 30 minutes. I think my hands grew compared to my 10 year old self. But after playing on it nonstop over the past week, I'm enjoying this a lot. I'm using a walkthrough guide, so I'm kind of breezing through the game, but it's so nostalgic.
I hope Nintendo continues with this and releases more in the future. I think some obvious candidates would be Donkey Kong (maybe a clam shell G&W like the old days), Metroid, and Pokemon.
