monitor/tv

Ok so i ditched the projector idea...and have latched onto something else...

I am looking for a 20" - 24" widescreen lcd flat panel monitor/tv that can:

be hooked up to a laptop/desktop that can be used a big ass widescreen computer monitor AND/OR
be hooked up to a gaming console (ps2) so i can play gt4 till my thumbs hurts

Not sure if there is anything under $1000...actually..not sure if anything exist...

I am read about some ppl on this forum hooking up their computers to 20" or even widescreen monitors but not sure if it work for ps2

I have done some searchings, and came across things like DVI, S-Video, etc. etc...but i can't seem to find a clear answer my questions..

Anyone?

Thanks in advance for your inputs...

So you wouldn't recommend a monitor as the primary screen for a gaming console? Have you hooked up your 22" nec to a reg. comp/laptop...good quality?
