Hmm...About 10 years ago me and my best friend, were hardcore gamers that's basically all we did...LAN Parties, all-nighters, etc. My favorite games were Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, Unreal Tournament, etc. I loved playing online...Then for a while I played some pretty low graphic self made online games...Odyssey Classic, and Battlecity (which is still around - http://looble.com/bcc/) I was totally addicted to that game, but stopped playing a few years ago because I was so addicted lol. The game got taken down, and some programmers remade there own version so it was awesome.

Anyways...I was just thinking to myself before I had a slow azz p3 450mhz, now I have this pretty fast new DELL with a nice graphics card etc...I should put it to use...

Can anyone recommend some cool games I can download and play online? The only one I've played over the last few years is Medal of honor allied assault...

No preference, I guess anything other then RPG...Might have to look into Counter Strike...

 

Counterstrike, Battlefield or Star Wars: Battlefront II

 

Counter-strike's good once in a while, but after playing it since beta's been out.. it got boring....real fast...

 

So this counterstrike game, anyone know where I can d/l? and where is the best place to play it online, does it have servers? or do i need to use something like Gamespy?

 

Try out Wolfeistein: Enemy Territory. It's an older FPS (circa 2003) but it's actually free. There is no single player component, it's strictly multiplayer.

 

steampowered.net for CS, gotta pay tho, worth it. Plenty of servers available.

 

Far Cry is good also.

If everyone is talking about the old Counter-Strike it is $9.99 and you should get hooked on the game if you haven't played it before. I've played it on and off since the original betas were out and I still play it just to waste some time.
