Japanese vs. XBOX 360 && rumors of another XBOX Shipment
Piles of Unsold 360s... in Japan
If you're one of those poor, unfortunate souls who are sitting around waiting for EB Games to call with the news of the possibly mythical pre-Christmas second shipment of Xbox 360 systems, feast your eyes on the sad set of photographs over at Kotaku today.
It's been over two days since 360 launched in Japan, and stores still have massive, behemoth green cages full to the brim with unwanted, unloved Xboxen. It's almost like they're in jail and they want to be set free. But they will not be.
Maybe when bouncy fighting game Dead or Alive 4 hits on the 29th.
Oh, and if you are in America, apparently December 16th-18th is the time frame to pay attention to. Somebody got hold of allocation numbers for each Best Buy store (who is holding their systems until the 18th), and already there is talk of people lining up that evening. Like a second launch day.

The Xbox will never do extremely well in Japan, but MS messed up the launch because the games that the Japanese would want to play such as DOA4 were delayed, so there really was no reason to pick up a system at launch.
MS is shipping out 300k 360's to the US this week, so many here should have one before Christmas.

Yeah, but supposedly those are all rumors. Go over to 360updates.com and they have a story on how in Japan, stores work alongside isp's to get people to purchase their service by offering stuff. And Since the 360 is such an Online heavy machine, this is the perfect situation to "lower" Prices while catching people with all the other charges and crap. The fact of the matter is that non bundled xboxes have sold already. It's like in the US, Gamestop and some other sites have these $2,000 plus bundles that are still available.

Because when it comes down to it we can rant and rave about PS2 or Xbox being better but hell they are on the same level. It's not like we are comparing a Sega Genesis to an Xbox or something. Both systems have basically the same games and both systems will look good visually so fuck it if fanboys wanna wait.
About them not liking first person shooters...probably right. They are waiting for Dance Dance Revolution or some other gay smiley face game.
