Tested it at Wal Mart. Thing is pretty cool but kinda big. If you fold it, from top to bottom it's a little bigger than a glasses holder and easily longer than a checkbook. The stylus feature is pretty nifty. The Metroid game that comes with the unit allows you to either use the buttons like normal or the pen to shoot. Instead of aiming just press the pen against the enemy on the screen and Samus shoots at the enemy. Only problem is that there's a slight delay after it touches the screen and is more difficult to shoot considering you have to move your whole hand and aim with your wrist which takes more time vs your fingers. The game itself was a FPS. I only killed a few enemies then left. It seemed entertaining but I have no use for it.

I found it odd that the screens were separated... so I was looking at the top screen, and was like, wtf is this bottom screen for. Metroid seemed like a decent game though. Would be nice to have a system like that, for a long train ride etc. Of course, I'm waiting for PSP.
Anybody else have any reviews on it yet? It looks kinda cool but the release launch of games isnt all that exciting yet... Im on the fence with this one. Will probably wait for it to hit $99 before I buy - especially since I dont even play my SP much anyways.
My 2 friends got one 5 days early from Blockbuster last week. They were suprised to see them on sale and picked up a pair. They had Metroid and Mario. It's decent but overall not too impressive. It's just a pain to use the touch screen and doesn't feel too comfortable. I guess I could get used to it, but I'm much more impressed by the PSP.
Wireless gaming is cool though. For Mario, you only need to have the game in one of the units to play between both units

if you have a DS check out http://www.linkupengine.com/
you register to find competition near you since the DS can't automatically find other players.

I was getting ready to post a thread, but maybe I can get some responses here....

Hello everyone.
There is a lot of buzz regarding the Nintendo DS for this holiday season.
If someone here has one, please talk about the system, what you like, dislike, etc.
It has built-in wifi, which is pretty cool.
From what I understand, it is supposed to be better than N64, but not as good as Gamecube.
I have not owned a Nintendo system since the original NES.
Lastly, I called 13 stores today and only two had it in stock, so I picked it up, but am trying to decide whether or not I should keep or eBay it.
Hold the flames, but in 2002 when XBox came out, I bought three and sold two on eBay to fund the third.
Thanks, in advance.
