Help! My stupid dell is going nuts..

I own a dell m700 and its about two years old. I never had any problems until now. It started to shut off itself! I don't know what is causing it. I thought it might of been the heat causing this problem so I created some gap between the laptop and the desk but still no good. Is my power supply going bad or what is it?
thanks,

is the comp cutting of completely or is it a graceful shutdown? if the former, i guess i'd start blaming the hardware. actually, just yesterday, my comp (built) blue screen'd maybe the 10th time since it was built in 2003 and somehow the BIOS had reordered the drives and it kept rebooting after POST until i corrected the drive order. Why they changed in the first place is beyond me. Maybe BIOS battery not retaining settings but comp is always plugged in. So who knows.

have you called dell?

Dell sucks! Their customer service is the worst when I had issues with my laptop. Now, my laptop is dead and I'm never getting a Dell again.

Mine is alright so far. Maybe you should edit that statement and include Playstation 3 and Blu-ray as being over-rated too.

Still asleep that's why and doing multiple tasks at my job. But, just letting you know that I had a bad experience with Dell, but if you've had a positive one that's good for you.
