Did the horse betting thing where you bet 100k or so on the 12:1 odds horse.

Made about 2 million in 15min of Save/reloads.

Felt much better then punching in a cheat code.

I don't have the nerve to bet my 12 million (unless there's a 1million cap) all in one shot on a 12:1 race. Too much saving/loading for me.

Anyone do the pool game? Heard you can bet on that as well.

 

I've got like 100 something million also. but i cheated. and i buy every safe house i come across.

 

I played pool, put up $500, walked away with a thousand. On the betting, I just kept putting anywhere from 3 million to 5 million per bet, I just kept hitting "X" until I got tired. I was also posting on A-CL the entire time I was doing it

I couldn't find it either. But remember their not actually tracks, just OTB places.

So take the main freeway that runs through the center of Los Santos all the way north into the small town of Montgomery. The OTB is on the main strip there.

You can save your game at the house on top of Fern Ridge (if you got that far in the game) and then its a 30 second trip back and forth to Save/load.

Turn the game on and let it load but don't touch the controller. After about 10 minutes the timer dissapears and the camera follows the npc's. They have some great fucking conversations. The camera also follows around the hot chicks and prostitues.

When I come back the game is always doing its own thing... its funny shit.

i just finished all the OG LOC mission. i could recruit 2 members at a time but i still cant gang bang and creat a gang war. i dont see green/purple/yellow colored areas on my mini map yet. wtf?

 

keep doing the missions, it'll come after you do one of the missions, i just don't recall which one.

 

Yeah after you complete the "Burning Desire" mission, which entails setting a house on fire and then rescuing a girl from it, you'll get the call from Sweet which will trigger the “Doberman” mission.

This one entails killing all the ballas in a certain location and starting your very first gang war. After its completion you can start gang wars and start taking over other territory at your leisure.

 

Man this last mission is pissing me off........I got through that entire fucking building, only to fall off a cliff in that goddamn car and LAND SIDEWAYS NEXT TO A FUCKING WALL THAT THE CAR GOT STUCK ON!

I havent played in like 3 days, I cant beat that stupid "vertical bird" mission (i think thats the name) ----- I steal the military plane and shoot down the other plane but I always crash when I go to destroy the boats, so I got all huffy and stopped playing

 

Ok, im' getting pissed off. I really havent had time to play in a few days, and i'm on the mission with Jizzy where i ride the bike and have to clear the roadblocks so the van can go thru. I've done it a hundred damn times and i cannot clear the last one in time. the van is always trying to drive past me. i dont have time to snipe everybody and blow everything up, cops chasing me and cars trying to run me over. what the fuck! im' so pissed

Make sure you have a rocket launcher. I think they give you one to begin with but it never hurts to have some extra ammo. Anyway that makes it a whole lot easier.

 

Has anyone visited the clothing store Didier Sachs in Rodeo, Los Santos yet?

Every other clothing store is now open except that one. I know that some stores only open after certain missions but it says nothing about when this store opens.

They have the pimpest shit and i can't get in yet!

 

It opens when you go back to Los Santos for the last couple missions of the game

Just starting the missions in Las Venturas so i've got some catching up to do.

 

I just found out that if you reach hitman level w/ the machine pistol you get to use 2. It's pretty sweet 2 fisting 2 automatic weapons. It tears though shit like crazy.

 

Finally got back to Los Santos. Took me all morning and afternoon yesterday but I was determined to take over all 59 or so gang territories available. There's even one way in the NW corner of the map that needed to be taken over. After it was all done I didn't even get a cut scene or a message acknowledging this great feat.

Also back in Las Venturas i never got the key card from that girl and I went ahead and started the missions back in Los Santos. Hope I can still go back and get it to complete the Casino heist.

 

You can still go back and do the Casino missions.........they have no real effect on the story, much like the Zero missions (which were the last missions I did). Sorta like the Donald Love missions in GTA3.
