do practice runs and that will move you up in the starting position if your runs are fast.

^

But its only available when you enter the championship series. You always stuck with NO.6 spot when you run in single races, which is annoying as hell.

I believe GT All-Stars is ANOTHER Group C series. So Minolta, R8 or the F1 car are your choices.

I won it with the Minolta Toyota - did you try that? set rear tires to racing hard, front to racing medium?

Why B-Spec it? No matter how good your B-Spec guy is, he is going to lose at least 3 races in the series anyway. (HK comes to mind)

yeah, i did it with the minolta, and its not a cake walk, but you do have a good advantage if you use that car. To aquire the minolta do the endurance el capitan 200 mile race. I used the same tire settings too....I would advise not upgrading the power in this car, because then it goes absolutely out of control. Its sooo fast.

I just got a french car, its called pescarolo courage or something like that. That car is AMAZING!!!! one drawback tho, 4.5 mill....its got the best braking tho, and altho its light, its not too jumpy, like the minolta. I would suggest this car, but i haven't drove any other 4.5 mill cars, so mabye i can't make a fair comparison. It's waay better than the minolta.

Great car, haven't driven it much though. There are better ones. Best exposure I had to it was in the driving mission, 3 Laps @ Laguna. It was a blast to drive there. Top performance, but I don't drive it anymore, probably because, there are better ones. Good to have though.

Heres a question. On the Super Car Festival in Pro Events, there is a "production car only" restriction. But the other cars in the race are non production cars such as a Cien and a couple other tuner cars. What's up with that?

I can compete with the power, but I'm severely lacking in braking and handling in the 2 production cars I've tried (95 NSX and 98 Lotus Esprit SE) especially since racing tires aren't allowed. Any tips? Or should I just try to drive better?

Yea you can't mod the F1... in GT mode. In Arcade mode, you can do the "quick tune" and raise the hp to 1069 or so and lower the weight all the way - AND add supersoft race tires - then you get a race car from hell. Honestly I took this car in arcade mode with precisely this configuration to the Ring and it had so much power and was just INSANE to drive... wayy to much power and requires an extreme amount of concentration to drive because you're going so stinking fast. Needless to say I messed up horribly on numerous occasions, in fact it was a terribly sloppy lap.

and..... I still ran a 5:19. Tells you how crazy this car is. I believe people have run under 5 minutes with this configuration and some practice. Something I may have to shoot for, soon.

Quick question. If you only get all bronzes on the licenses (and get the prize car), and then go back and get all silver/golds, will you get new prize cars for all silvers/golds?

Good question. There's one for all golds like an old 50's T-Bird but not sure for all silver.

yeah.. you can do this, go back and get all golds on the tests to get the prize cars. As mentioned above there are no prize cars for all silver. This is in fact what I wanted to do in the beginning. I wanted to keep going with the game so I just got mostly bronzes and continued. But right now, after getting all the prize cars in the various races and such, I have no desire to do it. The license prize cars are really nothing special and, the amount of time (and frustration) it would take to get golds on everything is just not worth it, to me. Especially coupled with the amount of time I've put into the game already, I think the game has pwned me enough.

Haha yeah, true that. I'm just getting bronzes and not worrying about the golds. Maybe if I get really far in the game like you guys then I'll go back to it.
