finally broke the 6 minute mark in a Supra RZ... 5:57.856... hopefully I'll have a better video soon. The lap prior to that was a 6:00.136 ... yeah I was banging my head.

I also use the fiber optic audio and the RGB video inputs if only the damn game would leave the screen in HD. I keep having to switch it back everytime I turn it on.

and don't mind the Taiko drum master. my wife is japanese. she loves

I've got my PS2 in the office so I just screw off on the computer while B-Spec'ing. I'm doing the 24hr race now. Man am I fucking bored. I'm really tired of the computer.

God I hate ice racing. I'm using the Toyota Raid but I think it's hard to drift in that car. I freaking lose on easy in the ice. On regular dirt I rock the computer......on easy. I love Yosemite by the way. It's cool how they incorporate two tracks in one location (Capitan).
Oh and did any of you use the FX45 or Rover Concept for the truck race?

How many B-Spec points do you guys have that are having problems with these tracks?
Oh and I did Tsukuba wet on easy through hard. On easy it was against an N Ver. R34 so I thought I was dead. I only got 1 Aspec pt with my Raid. Then I went on normal against an SLR. Got 72 pts for whooping that ass. Then on hard against the Minolta. Didn't finish the 3rd turn. He was gone. Would've gotten 200pts.

I just got the Mazda RX-7 LM Edition this morning, after running B-Spec for the miata endurance race. Havent got a chance to drive it yet. Looking forward to it though when I get home from work. I think i'm gonna use it to complete the Last championship of the professional race series. do you think thats a good choice?

The RX-7 is a sweet ride but it will be way overmatched in that series.

two things -
1) reach 25% complete by doing other races so you can get into Endurance mode.
2) win the El Capitan 200 miles event and get the Minolta Toyota race car.
Race that in the last race of the Pro series. You can probably win it with some other cars too, but it may take you more than one try. If you don't want to waste your time, follow these steps.

Do you mod your cars? I want to keep my cars in stock form, but sometimes it leaves me no choice.....
Bought an accord (TSX) to enter FF races, but holy shiet, this car gets pwned big time! So, instead of buying another car I wouldn't want to keep around, I had to mod it a little bit.
What's up with tire restrictions? None of my fancy cars can enter, so I had to buy a set of sports tires to enter the race.

i mod as little as possible. I only move up if and only if the car is totally not able to compete. Driver error doesn't count. If i'm laping consistently fast times and getting owned in the straights because of HP then i'll move to the next mod.
Order of mods
1. suspension
2. brakes
3. intake exhaust
4. flywheel\drive shaft
5. ECU
6. weight
7. engine upgrades/turbo

First of all, GREAT THREAD. Skimmed through most of it. Tons of great info, without dealing with gtplanet.net.
Picked up GT4 yesterday. Fashionably late to the party cause I had to wait for spring break. Anyway, incredible so far. All I expected and more.
Add another addict to the list. I played about 10 hours today.
A few questions: Any updates on the memory card problems with game saves being erased? Should I get a new memory card, and if so, how do I make a backup copy of it?
Also, when you guys upgrade the suspension to sport or semi racing. do you leave it as is? Or do you guys tinker with the settings? I don't have any real world tuning knowledge whatsoever, so I don't know what settings to adjust. Do you guys just learn as you go along and test different settings out, or are there specific settings you immediately adjust?

As for suspension everyone here probably drives a little differently and is comfortable with their own settings for each car. If you read the message at the bottom when you go into the tuning section it tells you what you're adjusting, how it affects your car, and what happens when you set it too high or low. In GT1 they give you a separate manual for tuning but I guess they prefer and it's cheaper to just put it in the computer. I would be confident to say we all found out by trail and error. Another thing you want to tune is the ASM and TCS. ASM kills my oversteer. Play around with that and let us know.

40.2% complete. Super license acquired over the weekend. I LOVE the Formula Gran Turismo. Just the second of LeMans remaining in the Endurance races. The first 2 sections of Extreme events are done (including the GT World Championship).
Anyone else getting this little done in their outside life?
