Is this a good deal?
It's actually from Craigslist. I was communicating with the seller back and forth. He's selling it because he's moving to an condo that already has one:
The only thing with that is that I am moving
on Friday so everything is packed up. Otherwise I can go to Best Buy and
get it reprinted. I used my credit card there so they have record of it.

There is also this on sale for $325, brand new still in the box and $275 without the hard drive.
- Microsoft XBOX 360 console
- 20 GB Hard drive
- wireless controller
- HD AV cable
- ethernet network cable
- wired XBOX Live headset
- white faceplate
- XBOX Live Silver service

Definitely a good deal if it's only one week old.
As for the second offer...that's pretty much the regular premium bundle isn't it? I would never ever buy it without the HD though...you would definitely be missing that.

So I went ahead with the first seller, and it was actually a female college student that was selling it.
Anyway, I'm getting it chipped this weekend by someone, and he's also offering me any game for $15. He said I will still be able to play on xbox live with the modification.

You can get better deals. Here's what I got off of eBay in July/August when I bought my system...
360 Premium Bundle
Additional Wireless Controller
NCAA 2007 (you had your choice of any game)
XBOX Live Gold 13 month membership
Think it was $425 shipped. May have been $430 shipped.
And everything was brand new and sealed.
If the one you're looking at is truly only a week old, then not a bad deal, but how can you verify it was really only just purchased unless you see the receipt? But if you trust her, then there's nothing to worry about. Otherwise, you can get some killer deals on eBay... especially now with the focus shifting to the Wii and PS3... those 360 sellers are doing whatever they can to sell units.

I actually told her that I wouldn't buy it without an actual receipt, just in case something goes wrong and it needed to be fixed. She went to best buy to get a receipt before we met up.
That deal that you got looks great.

^ Cool. If it really is that new... then it's a sweet deal. I mean, 1 week is basically brand new...
You still may want to check eBay though before you commit. Like I said, tons of deals out there now and you may be able to find something better. And if not, well, then you still have the Craigslist deal...

I'm a 360 Noob, just bought it a few weeks ago. First console I've bought since Genesis.
