Anyone bought it this week, or have you all seen it already? I'm going to Best Buy after work to pick it up. I can't believe its been almost a decade since the game came out.

 

Was trying to watch it last night at a friends house, but the dvd wouldnt play

 

Watched it yesterday, as expected the movie is all about the actions. The story is a complete letdown, it sucks.

 

On Amazon.com, it is reported that Advent Children is RCE. This means that it won't play on region free dvd players. That sucks, because I have a region free player. I guess I'll have to play it on my PS2.

 

That would be why. Good to know. The video store they got it from didnt give them the original box, so it didnt say that ont there. The PS2 will play it?

 

I would assume the PS2 can play it, since 1) it is region coded and 2) it would be really stupid for a PlayStation related DVD not to be playable on PlayStation.

Of course this assumes you have an unmodded PS2.

 

So, it's purdy but lousy on the storyside...kinda like Appleseed?

You nuts, dude? FF7 rocked. It was FF8 that was of the :ghey:...

 

It's a shame you're so blinded. FF8 was the superior game. FF7 is only popular because a) for many it was their first RPG b) it was the first game to have great looking FMVs/graphics (for the time) c) it was the first killer app for the PS1.

 

The only good thing about this movie is the performances of Maaya Sakamoto(but very limited screentime for her)...those who watch a lot of animes should know who she is already:

Does the file have the DD 5.1 soundtrack? Thats the only reason why I waited this long to watch this shit.

 

I dunno I am not an audiofile...I tend not to care how something sounds as long as its listenable.
