Dead or Alive...the movie?!?
Dead or Alive...the movie?!?
Um...WTF.
Okay, if they're going to make a movie about this, they really need to make one based on Metal Gear. That has one of the strongest storylines...

DOA Spy Pics
Set images from the game-to-film adaptation.
by IGN FilmForce
September 22, 2005 - Dead or Alive is one of many game-to-film adaptations that we've been tracking here on IGN FilmForce. And in contrast to many of the others, DOA is more than just talk... it's actually being made.
In case there was any doubt, Brandon over at DOA Central recently dropped us a line to let us know they've got a few new "spy images" from the set of the forthcoming DOA flick over on their website.
The images, one of which can be viewed below, show actresses Devon Aoki and Holly Valance on the set, as well as director Corey Yuen (The Transporter). There's also a nice shot of a replica of the north gate of Beijing's Forbidden City, which has been constructed on set.
Tecmo and Constantin Film are collaborating with Impact Pictures on the film which has been described as "Charlie's Angels meets Enter The Dragon."
The film stars Jaime Pressly (Not Another Teen Movie), Holly Valance, Devon Aoki (Sin City, 2 Fast 2 Furious), Sarah Carter (Final Destination 2), Kane Kosugi (Godzilla: Final Wars), Natassia Malthe (Elektra), Matthew Marsden (Black Hawk Down) and Eric Roberts (National Security, Spun).
The DOA script was penned by J.F. Lawton (Under Siege, Pretty Woman), Adam & Seth Gross (Devour), and Granz Henman. Jeremy Bolt and Paul W.S. Anderson are producing.

That movie was wretched. To this day, I have nightmares of seeing that in my childhood.
Van Damme as Guile and Raul Julia as Bison. *shudders*

They're just going to fuck this one up like they've done to all the rest of the video game => movie movies...
Although as long as Ule Bowell (sp?) doesn't touch it (Alone in the Dark, House of the Dead), this movie might have a fighting chance.
And there better be some tig'ol'bitties otherwise there's just no point.
Edit: Devon Aoki is NOT good looking.

Uwe Boll Not Directing Halo!
Put down the pitchforks. Master Chief's film debut is safe.
by Patrick Klepek, 09/19/2005
The Internet world has been in an uproar over the Internet Movie Database listing for the upcoming Halo film. Slotted into the directorial spot is none other than Dr. Uwe Boll, infamous videogame film director I recently interviewed for a lengthy feature on 1UP.
Here's something to keep in mind: anyone can submit information to IMDB. Part of the reason the IMDB is kept so up-to-date (in a sense) is because of the community that helps keep the listings fresh. It would take a monstrous staff to continually update the hundreds of thousands of listings, which means it's up to users to pitch in and help.
As you'd expect, someone decided to play joker and submit Uwe Boll as the director of the in-development Halo adaptation. No one is even solidly rumored to be jockeying for the position yet, so there's no reason to panic. Plus, our recent interview with Boll confirmed he's busy with a number of his own self-developed projects. (Dungeon Siege now, Postal, FarCry and others down the road).
Let me be clear for all the Halo-ites: Uwe Boll is in no way, shape or form working on the Halo movie, nor is there any reason to believe he'll become involved. Chances are virtually 250% that Universal Studios and 20th Century Fox have set their sights a little higher.

i think the best part of that whole movie was when Subzero and scorpian came out for the first time on that ship....hehehe...
besides the 2nd movie being crap...they should have never changed Raiden....chris lambert played a much better part....but after reading the script he probably said screw this...haha
I agree with the earlier poster....Metal Gear would be a perfect movie....

And someone said not enough asian girls w/ big boobs.
I dont' even see one.
Devon Aoki.
The hottest person in the movie (apparently) is Devon Aoki.
-I also see... fobby asian girls.
-And a plastic sword w/ a purple hilt.
Seriously whack.

It's shitty and awesome in all the ways that Street Fighter was, and in my opinion it's even shittier and more awesome.
