Anyone play Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for PS1
I just finished most of it last weekend. Game is fuckin tight. It's like Super Metroid for SNES except you're Alucard (Dracula's son). Plus you get various swords, hand weapons, magic spells, etc. 10/10
Yep, I played it when it first came out.
Excellent 2D game, I loved it. I remember trying to collect certain rings and stuff from it. Ohh, and getting my ass kicked a lot.
Great game. I wonder if its still lying around somewhere.

$70 plus shipping!?!?!? Mint my ass. Now I gotta decide if I'm going to play again or just sell the bitch.
BTW the boss fights are pretty tight but most of them were easy. The giant guy with lightning attacks sure was tough. I was like Level 60 when I beat him with most Alucard weapons.

I wanted the soundtrack. The music in this game is some of the best. Sometimes I play it just to hear the sounds.
Did any other games follow up with their ideas? The whole self-healing magic points was a great idea. Plus how each weapon was different and had certain strenghts. They even had throwing swords, jewel knuckles, weapon/shield combos, morphing into other entities. Just sick.
Yup. I loved how you can combine certain shields and swords to do special magic attacks. You needed it plus the fog magic trick when you fight the giant green dude in the castle which throws the laser thing. Isn't he the lightening guy? I forgot its been so long
Is this one a little better for ya?

I'm telling you guys who have never played it, this game is the BEST 2d video game ever made. That's saying alot. Which is why its more valuable than the system it was made for. You can buy PS1s for cheaper than this 1997 game sells for.
I bet in 10 more years it'll be just as valuable! I'm keeping my copy and NO I'm not lending it out
