The first two Ghost Recon for the original xbox were good. The rest were terrible.

ok, I actually watched the videos and all this new stuff is good (graphics are awesome) but they play second fiddle to the actual multiplayer experience.

Are they going to balance killstreaks? What will map designs look like? TDM will be the most popular game type I'm sure, but they can't have people respawning right behind you.

and it fucking annoys me that people are camping. I don't understand why can't people just play at this stage and just get used to the maps

but sucked in what way? Single player campaign? Multiplayer? And what specifically sucked? I'm just curious

 

Although he loves the series, probably pre-ordered on day one. I'm guessing the story alone wouldn't have caused him to return it, so it must be bad all around. I read that the story was super short like 4 hrs and they reused some gameplay from MW2. I also heard the maps are way too big and only good for campers. I'll ask him tomorrow.

 

Well after reading the last couple post on this page it answered my question so guess I'll save my money and just stick with BF4

 

From what I heard, the PC version of the game sucks ass, so I'm definitely not going to be picking it up. I think I'm going to stick to getting BF4 soon. Just got re-addicted to CS

 

Well fudge. Guess I'll save myself $60 and cancel mine too.

yea from what i've heard and seen, the multiplayer maps are huge and very good for campers. from the way it looks, not that interested. and in addition to that, this takes the longest time out of all the previous CoD's to prestige for each character slot.

the new prestige system they have going is kind of good and bad. you basically prestige a single character and then move onto a different squad member. so once you hit max level on a squad member, you can use that char and anything you unlock on that char for the rest of your gameplay. if you want to attain prestige 2, you start a new squad member. sucky part of this is, you start from zero. nothing you unlock from the first squad member carries over. i liked that you could carry over one thing to the next prestige from MW3 and BLOPS2. the way it is now, you get no benefit from using the prestiged squad member. nothing you do on the prestiged member helps with the second prestige. making it kind of pointless to prestige another character.

 

CoD4 level design was the best. They made perks too OP, and are recycling things from game to game. This franchise will slowly die out unless they reinvent it like the did like CoD4.

 

Well, seeing as no one else seems to have bought the game.......I did (for 360). So far I like everything, played first couple hours of campaign and am a lvl 5 on mp(btw the night I did this 416,000 player were online. I've had no time to play, but I plan on finishing the campaign, pretty good story so far.

oh and I like the doggie, he's a pretty easy killstreak to get and he follows you wherever you go.

Another thing in mp, you get a ton of maps, seems like wayyy more than Blk OPSII

 

Played halfway through the campaign last night.. Riley is cool. I'm still in GTA mode so some things annoy that shouldn't like grabbing cover.

Anyways, graphics aren't up to par IMO. I'll go online tonight and share my perspective on it.

 

Got it for my PC.... I was in WTF mode while playing it. Graphics are ancient. My PC barely runs it, the game only takes 2GB of RAM, so it's horribly optimized (or not at all)... :[

(i7 4.2GHz, 32GB RAM, OC GTX 860, should do circles in this game...but it's not, I had to lower my res and everything else.. puzzling crap and then I read the forums and realized I was duped)

 

hmm, I thought the graphics were pretty good. It's weird when we keep switching companies and engines with every iteration. Back and forth.

I'm obviously using a 360, my only complaint performance wise, is it gives my dvd drive a serious work out. Also mandatory install requires 2gb of my 20gb HDD.

I still have not gotten to play sinc e my last post, so busy.....

 

that definitely should run it. I don't get it, I don't remember the specs on the 360 anymore, but it's gotta have half that at most. My graphics so far seem flawless, in the sense of HD quality I'm used to and no glitches, artifacts, nothing smooth as glass besides my roaring dvd.

 

played online last night.. I like it. I'm still getting used to the maps, but so far, so good. The graphics are shit imo. I read similar sentiments, hopefully it's a bug and can be patched.

 

From what I read the game was coded specifically for consoles so when they brought it to PC they hired the same console coders to do the PC coding. I guess I'll get this game for 360.

 

I've been playing online for a few days now. It's definitely taking some time getting used to this vs Black Ops 2. To me it seems the game play (multiplayer) is slower. It's almost like the game encourages you to camp and wait for a kill. The assault score streaks suck ass IMO! The sentry gun is garbage, dogs get killed easily and mostly give your position away cuz they are next to you.

Sniping in this game is cool thought. I'm enjoying that. For some reason I never liked sniping in BO2.

But it's still enjoyable. Blitz is BY FAR my favorite game mode. Domination is 2nd in my book.

 

Have been playing for a while now and I like it. I really like the maps although it's a camper's playground. After you play for a while, you figure out the best hiding places, I get a kick out of throwing grenades and fragging them in cover.

My biggest gripe, which is a dealbreaker, no theater mode / replay.

 

 

Got this for Christmas and so far Extinction is pretty fun as well as the campaign. Won't be jumping online till I beat the story.
