Uh of course. It's strictly a luckshot, because you have to aim it at least around 1887 range pre-nerf, and once you shoot it it takes like 7-8 seconds for it to actually hit the target.
When I first got it I put scavenger on it and I did get a few First Bloods and double/triple kills with it though
without using the glitch that is. Pretty cool just to get a kill like that but it's nothing special and IMO its more worthwhile to use it to down killstreaks (though I still prefer the stinger)

So I was just playing some Demolition on overtime defense and the enemy team managed to destroy one of the targets. We ended the game with friendly two harrier jets, a pave low, AC130, and two incoming care helicopters all in the air at the same time. It was like an airport.
Mizouse, you should've stayed in that private match you joined. It was the most fun I've ever had in MW2. We did all knife round, then all throwing knife, all shield, all semtex, all pistol, all rocket launchers, all claymore, all C4, and then for the finale: all suicide bomber round.

yes, you have to lock on, which is why I said it was luck. It does not track people though. The chances of anyone being able to lock on anyone camping way out in the open and the camper not seeing the javelin guy and not hearing him shoot it and still staying there for the time the javelin gets shot until the time it hits is very unlikely.

Depends but for instance the kills I've gotten are on...
Wasteland - run to a high point after you spawn... once you can get a good view of the part of the hedge before the other team goes around the corner, aim for the side of the hill where they're about to come through. I've gotten 2-3 first bloods this way on this map
Karachi - if you spawn as a SEAL, run through that room to the left of your spawn, jump up and climb that ladder, go to the right and line up next to the edge of the building, then aim down at the ground, a little past the arch at the chicken market. people used to rush this spot a lot before but not much anymore.
Highrise - at the ground on their side, behind the choke points. Or if they're camping the helipad, aim low at the helicopter, the side closest to your spawn.
Rundown - on the other side of the narrow walkway. works great if you're militia, people always camp on that other side or happen to get caught there
Estate - if you're inside the mansion, aim somewhere towards the boathouse. Lock in when you're covered, then once you've got a lock, stay locked in and walk closer to the balcony so the missile doesn't kill you, then shoot it. I killed my friend like this
Quarry - I was killed here once when a guy was in that explosive barrel area and aimed down way below towards the ground next to the building with the long catwalk that people snipe on.
almost any domination "B" objective, or a choke point near their spawn, etc.

cool thanks a lot - I didn't know you could lockon to a hillside. I am going to try it! The other day on highrise dude was on a roll sniping people from the rooftop - and nobody could get him - it was SOOOO annoying - possible to kill him with javelin?

that just would have been so sweet to get him with a javelin. I tried getting him but he was too good - and I would also keep getting killed by other people lol. he would just poke his head out, shoot, and then move back out of sight.

have you seen where you can get up on this platform in Underpass? first time finding it tonight.. seems real secluded, I've never seen anyone up there... I mean the platform with the yellow railing - you can go back in it and it goes into another covered room...

Yes you can even climb up those buildings in the pic to the left. There's a discreet ladder and you can camp up there.
there's even a camping spot on Quarry, literally. You can climb up there and there's pots and pans and a sleeping bag!

an fyi, there are 2 ways up there, you run across that wooden walkway you see in the picture.
also behind you and to your right in the picture there is a door that will lead you into a room with stairs that will go up to that secluded room.

So I guess i'm finally starting to get good at this game. Learning the maps is probably the most important thing when it comes to MP games, good thing CoD doesn't have that many. I went from getting raped every round to usually getting within the top 1 or 2 for the round. Not bad...Now I have to work on my K-D ratio. I think my best so far was 16/4.

then get 25 kills in a row.

You have to unlock it first when you have the ability to unlock a killstreak, then you can only have 3 killstreaks selected, so unselect one and then select tactical nuke.

Finally got the "how the?" award.
I was on I think it's invasion, anyways the guy was guarding the flag and had a claymore nearby and I ran in and saw the guy shot a few rounds into the guy and then because of sitrep I saw the red flashing claymore and me not thinking and have been trying to unlock sitrep pro at all costs shot at the claymore instead and blew up the guy with it

well I havent even got near getting a nuke yet but the change in my gameplay did give me 2 wins in a row with highest K/D, most kills, and longest killstreak.. its def helping.
