Talking 0 to 101.3mph in 14.5 sec

i went to the track tonight, the weather was good but the traction was terrible. i did a total of 3 runs. all three of them were 14.5@101.3. im disapointed about my time but freaked out when i saw 101.3.

last year i got a 14.3@98.8, the conditions were very similar tonight.

heres my slip

reaction .120

I1-----------2.334
I3-----------9.450
E.T----------14.53
MPH----------101.31

the traction was terrible no matter how i launched i couldnt get lower then 2.3

Extremely impressive. I needed many more mods to hit 101 MPH. Work on that 60' time though and you'll see a great improvement.

pretty damned good there. i'm assuming you have an A/T by the avatar you have. and i have a few more mods than that. definitely practice on your launch. what does your launch consist of - 3 spoons of braking + 1 liter of acceleration to ? rpms? ride on.

steve: do you not no longer have the supercharger?

Wow, your MPH is through the roof given your mods.

You have a freak car man! Even your previous 98.8 was high!

like i said the track was just to slippery, in the past my best 60 time was a 2.28, that was with the tires at 20 and no brake torq,
yesterday aswelli didnt brake torq, took off from about idle and featherd the pedel. but no matter what i do i cant get better then that. i didnt lower the tire that much yesterday because it dosent seem to make that much of a difference at this track.

BTW, whats the higest mph anyone has achived NA?

I made 100.75, you've got me beat. Great trap speed. What was the air temperature?

Funny thing about traction at the line. In cold temps the rubber on the track is cold and can be slippery. But the cold air also gives us better times. In summer we can hook up better but the warmer air holds less oxygen. Hard to find that perfect day! Great run either way, congrats.

Your fairly high 60' time actually helped your trap speed increase. By spinning the tires at the line and/or staging shallow your 60' time will be slower but you'll get moving quicker. I'd suspect that if you deep stagged and got your 60' down to 2.1 your MPH would drop to 100.xx or even 99.xx.

+3-4 mph over most CLS w/comparable mods is very unusual. Let everyone know if you ever figure it out. Your time is realistic but the trap speed is FAST! When I ran 14.2 my trap speed was only 96.77 with I/H. I dunno know... I believe your time slip, but maybe their equipment is in need of adjustment.

there equipment is accurate, no one has ever complained that there times are'nt accurate or consistant, i also found it weird that i ran a 14.5@101.3 because my best run is a 14.3@98.8 last year.

im assuming my MPH is high because of my high 60 time and weather , i dont remember exacly what the temp was but it was somwhere around 40. i also didnt lower my tires psi as much as i did last year.

heres one of my slips

That is a pretty high trap for the ET but, I've seen other cars run similar times with those traps. Very nice.

I own an 03 6speed CL-S with the following mods: Comptech h/e w AEM CAI, AEM pullys,URcrank pully, ESM, Sun Hypervoltage and Ground system,
Suspension: Comptech sways/springs wTokiko Illuminas 5way adjustable. Wheels are Motegi lites w/235X45 GoodrichKDW. I haven't had my car dynoed. Can anyone give me an estimate of power and possible 1/4 mile time given these mods? I know that it is somewhat fast because a stock CL-S couldn't stay close to me the other day; and a G35 tried to race me and we stayed neck and neck at one point I was a little ahead then I slowed up.
