I was going to get this car instead of my 2010 TL SH-AWD...
the only thing that stopped me was that they apparently ended production for the manual transmission AWD G's (I think in 2009?)....

I'm not sure about pre-2010's. But as long as you're happy with your current car, that shouldn't matter. I really like the SH-AWD TL too, but this car just amazes me more and more each day. Almost scary how fast this car goes.

If there was a compliment I have received in the last 2 years, was the color.
Seriously it's a different color (and rare for a coupe) depending on the light. When it's noon and sunny looks darker blue and when it's cloudy out, the blue gets lighter.
Below is a link of mine if you care to see.

Trust me man, a year from now you are going to love that color even more. I was in the same position. Was going to get black or silver but couldn't pass up the deal on the Blue Slate so I bit the bullet.

I mean I guess if you just want to have the dropped look, the BC's are fine. But if you care about the handling performance and ride at all, you should get something better.

Personally I have them on my F and the setup is absolutely great. The ride is better than stock and the handling is better as well.

From my understanding, there isn't much as far as coilover systems for the AWD application. From what I know, BC Coilovers is the only one that developed a coilover system for the AWD G. Swift Springs also came out with a new spring set up for the car, just waiting for people to provide their input/reviews on their set up.
Didn't know G37x don't have much choice on suspension.
Swift Springs released their product for your car? Get that over BC Coils anyday. It's been proven that Swift Springs put so much effort on R&D for every application.
I have to disagree with you on this. I have not seen bad reviews for BC coilovers. Yes their are better coils however if you are not going to track the car they are just fine. I also don't think there are many options for the G37X.
Personally I have them on my F and the setup is absolutely great. The ride is better than stock and the handling is better as well.

Maybe it's just the BC Coils for WRX/STI/EVO/MS3 then. So many people had serious problems with it that if anyone even mentions to put them on their cars, people would laugh at you right away.

"As much as we loved the drop height, it was unbearable to drive, going over the slightest dip, or a slightly raised manhole cover would smash the bottom of the car so hard that your teeth would clinch. AWD models have a terrible issue with lowering, you simply CANNOT drive that low, you will destroy your car within a few days, if not total it. Simply unsafe and hazardous. It was sitting exactly 25" off the ground at the center arch of the fenders, we raised it back up to 26" and the ride was perfect."
From myg37, this is why you can't slam a AWD G

So is that description about the height in the picture or is that after he raised it up?

That pic with the cig is with it's most aggressive stance I bet showing how dangerous it is. The parked picture does not look that low for coilovers.
My AWD G is lower than the parked picture and I am fine in Chicago. Of course I will scrape once in a while and lately with the snow not being plowed, I actually broke off that plastic bumper cover piece. LOL.
Maybe the sedans underneath is different than the coupes.
