Infiniti BlueSlate G37X - VOLK GT30's / AutoKits X / JL Audio / More

After a 6 week "issue" with another wheel company, I decided to go with my first love, whom I should've gone with in the first place. (See link if interested).

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-talk-5/forgestar-wheels-use-caution-my-unlucky-story-826196/

For now, I am just about done with my look. I know I should go more aggressive on my stance but with Chicago roads, weather, and being my daily, I have to be somewhat conservative.

Hope you guys enjoy!

Looks great man! I think the stance is perfect but I'm not a fan of being slammed. The wheels are hot!

^Thanks guys!

You get a lot of heat from the G guys that live in CA/FL, etc with nice weather that if you're not on 20's and slammed, you're not "cool"? I'm sure it's on every board too.

I like it.

Looks great! Congrats on the Volks.

Is there some sort of front lip you can get? I feel like the front is missing something since the rear has the painted diffuser.

Thanks.
There's a splitter that I'm not too fond of and there's the company who makes the spoiler/diffuser I have that will make one, but they need like 10 confirmed buyers for $450 or something like that. Too much IMO for a small add on piece.

Not bad. Looks like you could definitely go with spacers in the rear, and maybe the front (but can't tell because you have your wheels turned in).

^Spacers could definately be added but I'm afraid of two things:

1. Heard too many vibration stories from the G guys on all types of spacer companies.
2. My system is over 50lbs in the trunk and if I have 2 people in the back seat, I may bottom out on bumps. Not wanting to roll the fenders.

What do you think?

What spacers are they using? If you go with a quality brand, you won't have any issues. It seems like your rears are really tucked in, but can't really tell from the pics (so not sure how many mm's you can go with).

I don't think the issue is the brand from what I am hearing, rather the installation but most are going with H&R's and Eibachs.

I've learned to get spacers with built in studs and make sure to hand torque them.

With my setup, 20mm would make me flush with the fender.

Yikes! If you need 20mm, then definitely do it asap! I didn't realize you were that much tucked in. I've been running project kics spacers with the integrated studs, no issues whatsoever.

Ya know what? I take that back. That was with my stock wheels. My new wheel is 0.5" wider so I bet only a 10mm would suffice. It's not bad at all and I'm pretty happy leaving as is.

Spacers would be the only other final mod I would do. If you followed my past threads, I wasn't even considering new wheels and was looking for spacers for the stock wheels. It would definately improve the look and make more aggressive.

Very nice! Its amazing how 19"s don't look big on that car (I know the "S" comes standard with 19"s) but still.....beautiful, goes well with the lights

What looks missing? I would do a front lip, but already explained above the reason why. Anything more I do to the car will give away its clean look that I go for.

Thanks!
Ya, I could've gone w/ 20's (most popular on G coupes) but with me putting an estimated 20k miles/year on the car, I wanted to go a bit more conservative and not risk any issues. I know, lame excuse.

I know what you mean about the tires. My wife and I are in the market for a coupe and its between the G and an A5.

If I do go with the G, I probably might keep the 18" stocks since we have SO many potholes in NJ and those low profile 19" haven't been that sturdy for my buddy who also has a G.

I am not feeling that car at all, sorry just being honest here. I never really liked g37s. My buddy has one, I thought it was a nice car at first but then more and more i see them, I like them less and less.

Why even post that then? Just move along if you don't like G37s at all. Not really constructive criticism there fella.

Exactly. I don't care either way but your reply is more for the Automotive News section rather than my specific car.

looks clean, but im not really a fan of the wheels to be perfectly honest. i think a set of factory S wheels would give it more of a "clean" look that you are going for. as for the front end, i think a bumper from a G37 S would make the front end look 100x better imo.

keep up the good work, guy

^Thanks man but I'm not a fan of the S wheels or the bumper. In fact, so many people have the G37S, it makes my AWD and its bumper unique.

when I said I didn't like the car I meant his car, and the mods. I don't really like g37s but there are some nice ones out there if modded right.

And good that you don't care, if you like it that's all that matters and good that you aren't butt hurt over something someone said on the internet.

LOL I can care less what you or anyone thinks negatively so no worries. I know we all don't have the same tastes. Your post just sounded like you didn't like G's in general so it didn't make sense as to why you posted.

OT, but I'd to know which G you like that's modded. Can you PM me a pic? There's two compliments I've received about this car since I bought it, A) The color and B) the clean look. If mine isn't clean to you, I'd like to know what is.

It looks similiar to that color Honda used for a few years... It was like grey/green depending on the sunlight. It is probably my fav. color that Honda has ever produced.

This color:

That was my first Honda. Loved that car.. Anyways, the color is what I was getting at.

Ya, depending on how cloudy/sunny it gets, it can be lighter blue w/ clouds and a darker blue when it's sunny. Then at night, it may look black from far away. Half the compliments I get are from the color alone.

Yep, I didn't do aftermarket coilovers because it's already a chore going at an angle up the driveway to my office parking garage.
