Zach/Connie's (a.k.a. EuRTSX) Infiniti G37xS Thread
Just purchased her on Saturday. She is a 2010. has 14,500 miles on the ODO, in pretty much amazing condition. I'll be doing a proper shoot on Saturday.
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7015/6...f720ba7d_b.jpg She's going to be modded very lightly, not because I've lost faith in modding, but because I have one hell of a nice monthly payment. |
Congrats dude! Love that you're loving it.
|
Congrats man... welcome to the nissan/infiniti line...
I was looking at the G37's before I got my maxima, but its smaller inside and that I didn't like... |
Congrats on the purchase, she is beautiful. My mom has an 09 G37x coupe... wish my parents had held out one more year for the '10s, she could have gotten the G37xS coupe... but ah well. Enjoy it! It's hard to get bored of the power!
|
Great looking ride, enjoy!

There's been a lot of talk about Infiniti's 7AT transmission and its harsh downshift from 3-4 and delay to shifting gears (making it especially dangerous on the freeway) but after driving it on the freeway for 3 days, it's really not that bad. It's like having a really temperamental girlfriend. Need to drive her right to make her happy. |
Ouch.
Were you in it when that happened? If so, you okay? (I ask because I thought that airbags only deployed when the car is on, if this is not the case, then please forgive my ignorance) |
OMG Connie, you love the upgrade, dontcha!?!?!?!
|
Drove one recently. Very impressive. Congrats.
|
jesus... I'm glad you're ok
|
Congrats again dude. Cant' wait to send you the gift for your new ride. :teef:

i was curious about the 7AT, if the fuel economy gains were worth looking into an +09. But then since it is a new tranny, you gotta wonder about reliablilty ( i came from a 2G TL , so im paranoid about that )
for those of you G owners, is there a different feel to the 5AT/7AT? sorry for the threadjack |

Aisin built tranny so I have no doubt it's reliable. 7AT gives better highway fuel economy, but also gear hunts in lower speeds. DS mode solves a lot of these issues.

of the 400 miles a drive a week 350 of them are highway, so a 7AT might be the way to go

Well, the FX has a 7-speed tranny. No issues.

It's like having a really temperamental girlfriend. Need to drive her right to make her happy. I have had no issues with my 7AT. The harsh downshift from 3-4 does not exist in my world. Now if you're in DS on the highway in 7th gear and switch to manual and downshift, it will drop down to 5th and will give you a slight budge. Nothing crazy or "dangerous". |
You should try on your brothers coupe wheels.
|
congrats! I thought you bought a coupe, not a sedan. :tomato:

Very nice car! They are def a sleeper, no one will expect an N/A V6 to be so damn quick, my legacy had a hard time pulling away from one.
