your thoughts on current Accord

I know the curent gen. Accords have out for awhile(almost 2 years) what are your thoughts on them.
here's my take.
The motor(4 popper)- It does a nice job if your concerned about mileage and don't care about performance
V-6 - it's a spunky practical family car.
Styling-coupe , I like it on a scale of 1-10(1 being an Aztec and 10 being off the hook) I'd give it 7.5.
on the sedan styling this is where they f%$ked up. the styling of the new sedans is HORRIBLE. I'd give it a 4 or 5. the whole rounded rearend and headlights don't go together for shit.
Technology- the navigation system and all those goodies are sweet.

bottom line- because I'm a sedan guy(because i have to haul my drunk ass friends around because i'm always the DD.) I'm gonna pass on this generation Accord and pick up an 08. the body just blows

I'd have to agree ... current body design doesn't do it for me. Even the Modulo bodykit (JDM) doesn't help the back end, either. Just have to wait and see ...

BTW, the interior ... very nice. I was suprised to see the 'trickle down' effect of the Honda interior taken from Acuras (blue electroilluminescent dash, etc).

I had a 96 Accord LX (4 banger). What a slug. So I upgraded to a 98 Accord EX (4 banger with VTEC). Off the line and flat road was no problem. But if you are running 50-60 and punch it, it did not have the "go" I wanted. So I swapped to the CL-S. After 3 'Hondas' my next car will definitely NOT be another one.

Will most likely try to find a Toyota (Solara with a 6 banger or the Lexus IS300).

Acura has been a disappointed but I made my bed.....

How about the Japanese version of the USDM Accord, The Honda Inspire?

Doesn't look too bad to me!

I don't care for the body style and the leather seats are no where near as plush as ours, at least thats how it felt to us when we sat in them. IMO just go for the new TL or better yet wait for the RL.

no your wrong. The Accord gets changed every 5 years.(starting after the 98 style) My dad which has been at Honda of America Anna Plant for 22 years and worked on the new model crew knows this. It used to be every 4 year(example 94 to 97 model year) then as of the 98 model year they went to 5 years because it ended that body style as of the the end of 02 model year. then that means the new body style will hit 2008 model year.

I have had two accords so far a 91 ex loved it, then the 94-97 came out hated it then I picked up a 01 ex-v6 coup loved it I wrecked it 3 weeks ago. I thought about the 03 Ex-v6 coupe but I didn't like it too much (I prefer the ext. to the int., for a accord it's a little too much maybe they should have held of with this interior style until 08). What I did realize was that I no longer wanted to drive the most popular car in America. If you want to be different, show a little class and still stay in the Honda family. One has to go the Acura route. So I picked up a CL-s and I am loving it.
