Your opinions on the new 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander?
I saw the commercial for the new 2007 Outlander and it looks like a nice SUV to me.
Maybe in the future I may consider it because I'm not a fan of the RDX after I saw it in person, the Pilot to me is boring looking, the CRV is too weak still with the 4 cylinder, and while the MDX is nice, it's too big.
Although I don't know anyone who owns a Mitsubishi, are they reliable like Honda/Acura cars?
What do you guys think of the Outlander?

Seems like a solid SUV. A little underpowered but it should get the job done. I would have never thought of this SUV if I were in the market. If the value is good why not, the warranty is pretty damn good.

my family is actually shopping for an outlander right now. My dad is currently leasing an '04 endeavor, which has given him 0 problems over the last 3 years. He is trying to end the lease early and get into another mitsubishi. We went to the dealer a couple of days ago and checked it out. Overall its a decent car, packed with many features. The fully loaded XLS that we saw came with navi, leather and sunroof and had Bluetooth. Both of the rows and comfortable, but the 3rd row is miniscule (sp?) and thus wouldnt fit anyone bigger than a child. The materials looked ok, except for those on the door - they looked kind of cheap. Overall, I would say that the CRV is a better value if comparing against the loaded outlander. In terms or reliability, it seems as though Mitsubishi has turned themselves around and has become more reliable, but the dealer networks still need to be worked on.

I just showed my friend a picture and he said from the rear it's an Infiniti FX copy with the taillights and he said why not dual exhausts instead of a twin exhaust?
Then he said you crazy cause Mitsubishi is going bankrupt. So much for loyal friends.

I'd be hesitant to buy a Mitsu considering their financial issues and their less than straightforward approach to warranty issues. I know that all car companies are shady, but mitsu seems shadier than others. I suppose if you leased, you may cover yourself some, but you'd likely be paying a good bit since they don't hold their values so well.
Good luck though....they are good looking CUV's that would likely sell very well if they had a different nameplate on it!

Hey Dom you see I don't like every Nissan/Infiniti product. The Fx's rear is still odd to me, but I like the Murano, but they're a dime a dozen around Chicago.
To everyone what's the reliability of Hyundai's and Mazda's?

being korean, i may be a bit subjective with hyundais. but i never would have thought of buying one two years ago. now, i certainly would consider one now if i was in the market for a new car.

Don't see how the new X is too big, definitely costs a lot more than a mitsu though.
