Your next car? What would it be?

That really is some dumb BS. Wow.

Very few manufacturers allow us to do that in the states.
What would be nice is if we could order a car the way we wanted w/o having to pay a separate fee to do so (if they even allow that at all).
I understand why they don't though. Some moron would order a Fuscia Honda Pilot with roll-up windows and then change their mind before taking delivery and Honda would be stuck with a car they can't sell.
But given that Honda makes cars in the U.S., I don't understand why we can't get some more flexibility. Same for other cars built in North America. They do it in Europe and the sky hasn't fallen.

I don't know if every state allows dealers to accept deposits due to money laundering.

And he was right from a business standpoint.

Surprised a good amount of people are choosing the TLX, it doesn't look that great, and seem to still carry over old tech from the previous gen, with no manual option?
I'll be interested when they slap a v-tec turbo with AWD + stick.

In a realistic world and not talking $100k cars for me it'd be:
1) 2015 TLX (I'd prefer to wait to see if there's a sport version but it's so sexy as is)
2) Lexus IS350 F Sport
3) New body Hyundai Genesis R-Spec (my girls mom drives older r-spec. Beast)
4) Lexus GS350 F Sport
5) Cadillac ATS 2.0
If we're NOT speaking in realistic terminology, then it's the 2014 ABT Audi RS7 =)

Going to be a few years (4-5 years) as I just finished the last payment on the Infiniti FX. But, as of right now, the BMW 5-Series looks to be the front-runner for my next car.
Possibly Porsche Cayenne. But, I am likely done with SUVs.

Well I just bought my Accord a few months ago. My wife is waiting for the 2nd generation CR-Z to come out, we'll replace hers then.
And the S2000 is definitely staying around forever and ever.

I'm guessing a minivan, since I hope to have kids in the next 3 years, and well.... I like minivans.
Probably a Sienna. I checked out the Isis and Estima when i was in Japan in November.

And you know what? So would I. It's amazing the number of people in this thread who have mentioned this car. To be completely honest, if it had XM, I'd likely have bought one already instead of waiting for the new Acura sedans. Seriously. And believe me, I love me some torque, look at what I drive now. The Accord Sport, in 6MT form, is simply a gift to those of us who remember what Hondas used to be--good-looking, sporty-handling, practical cars with great fuel economy, for cheap. And the Accord Sport is cheeeeeeeep.
Sorry for the tome, but I admit to being a Honda fogey, having driven them for almost 25 years at this point.

I've yet to drive a 9G Accord but would like to sometime.

I'd have no problem with that. Bring back the Saturn model & make everything an option. We had a '97 SL2 when I was younger that we got new that had every option except a sunroof & automatic transmission. I had a '96 SL2 a few years later & the only options it had were power locks & an auto; it had cloth seats, manual windows & no cruise control. Good luck finding an EX Civic like that.

And you know this from??? They havent shown the inside, told the options, or told specifics of the new sh-awd. Not to mention 2 completely new transmissions.

My car has keyless too, and it is still very weird to push in clutch + brake + start button.

Or they have odd availability. Like fixed interior colors with some exterior colors, what if I want a white car & black interior? No, you acn have tan or gray . Or only offering 2 colors on the 6MT Accord Sport, but 6-7 on the CVT Sport?!?

Oh shit. Maybe I don't have to press on the brake. I'll try it at lunch.

As for me, it's still early yet. I love my TSX so far, but I only have like 14,000 miles on it.

I think I would consider either a Subie WRX wagon, or a 1st gen TSX. I dunno though, I just bought my CL, so Ive got at least 5 years before I can even consider a new car, at least at that price range.

This just reminds me.... Can Honda finally make a reliable auto tranny now? or the new 8 speed will be GG again for the first few years.

Not in the Oddy's.
My old Oddy was a whining, hard shifting mess.
Ask dom about his Oddy transmission mess.
Maybe I purchased two vehicles that were Honda's hot mess when it came to AT, but I've had enough of Honda's sub par AT. I know now to stay away for a while.

So no, I will not be looking for a new car anytime soon
