Lightbulb Your next car?

A lot of you are probably looking to ditch your current cars... what's up next on your list? If it's a G35c or a 3-series, let me also hear what you'd buy if those two didn't exist.

I keep going back and forth between sport (i.e. Elise) and something like the S4 or IS350 Coupe (if there should ever be one). Only thing I don't dig is all the extra weight. Not ready for 2 cars or 4 doors.

So let me hear what has you guys excited... anything you're waiting for in particular? The new wave of supercar battles (Stang GT500 vs C6 Z06 vs. next NSX vs new Supra vs R35 GTR) sounds promising enough.

Well I recently bought the G35 Coupe, and am enjoying it everybit. I debated on the purchase with the BMW 3 series, but unless you go M3 it wasn't gonna fulfill my need for power. Now if Acura had a coupe, I would definitely given it more consideration since still at heart I am Honda, but they don't have a product which meets what I wanted. Now after 3-4 years of owning the G35 my next car I would like to purchase the new GTR or M series. Unless if Acura comes out with a 2 door awd coupe, v8 , and doesn't feel like a boat.

Im waiting for the new 3 series coupe to come out. Actually hoping the diesel version will be released here.

Other than that, im keeping the Audi for few more years.

I'm only 19. The highest I'd want to go is a used IS300, I actually love the way it looks. Scion xB, so ugly that I like it. The new Civic Si, I like too.

i currently have a 2000 TLP, so my dream would be to upgrade to a 2003 aegean blue pearl TYpe S with black leather.....a 6spd CLS, or a new 3rd gen TL

i wont have those kind of funds any time soon, so the only choice im considering now is trading my TL for a 97-98 240sx and mod it up

I just recently purchased my new CL, so I'm not in the new car market for a while. I really want a sedan, maybe an M45 or something for my next vehicle.

I'm about 6-12 months away depending on graduation, new job, and where I live. The early list right now is 3-series, C-class, Vette, new IS, new GS, or maybe another Tahoe if I can't decide on the others and/or gas goes back down.

Im' thinking about a 2006 M3, assuming the redesign happens in 07. The price of the E46 should go down when the new one comes out, and there is a strong possibility of me liking the old body style better than the new one.

I might just keep the CLS6MT for awhile, and buy something old as a summer toy instead...

Looks like 2007-2008 will be pretty interesting for vehicles, so I'd be looking to see what's out on the market then. The redesigned G35, 330, Mustang GT, are on my list, but I'm also interested in some future vehicles (supra, M2, etc).

I plan on keeping my 2000 TL-P for the rest of my life.

However, once that's paid off, I'm going to see what the TSX looks like. As long as it looks good, my decision will be between that and a Legacy.

Nope, it'll be an additional car to our TSX and Prelude.

TSX = wife's daily driver
IS250 = my daily driver
Prelude = future Honda Challenge H1 race car

The CL-S will be staying in the lineup for quite some time.
Hopefully there will be a “summer fun vehicle” parked next to it in the near future.

I'll probably be looking at the 300C SRT-8, M45, STS-V, CLS55 next year. I want something fast with four doors assuming gas prices doesn't hit an average of $4+ next year. If it does then probably the GS450h would be a strong consideration.

Forgot to mention if I get ballsy in a few years, I'll be looking into building a k20z1/k20a2 swap into an EG.

S4 or RL A-Spec... depends on the lease payments at the particular time when I get rid of my Acura. Definitely leaning towards the S4 though; if I could get it for in the $600 range per month I'll probably opt for that.

I'm thinking about trading mine in a year or two.

what's on my (practical) list is:

'06 Acura TSX
'06 Audi A3 2.0 FSI
'06 Audi A3 V6 Quatro (due out dec 05)
'06 Audi A4

what's on my (dream) list:

RS4
M3

I really don't know exactly what I want. But i've somewhat narrowed down my selections.

After driving Acura/Honda cars all my driving life; 88 Accord, 99 Accord, and 04 TSX
I want to buy a non-Honda/Acura next time around.

1. Next Gen G35 coupe or sedan
2. Current Gen 325xi/330xi

Let's see. You've got:
  • 3 entry level luxo cars
  • 1 sports car
  • 1 mid-lux boat
  • a truck

You're all over the place, dude!

Ummmm, the CLS55 is a lot more expensive than the other vehicles you have listed. By at least 30k. Just wondering if you knew

I know, usually I don't buy sedans that cost over $80K, cause they don't interest me enough to spend that kind of money on one. But the CLS55 is an exception I LOVE the way they look and don’t see hardly any on the street.

If I had the money I'd probably get one too.

God all of you are getting some pricey rides.

I'll go with something with a baby on the way like a Mazda5 or an HHR since I get a GM discount. Maybe not even a new 5. Accord is paid off next month but it's a coupe so I gotta suffer.

I hear ya, one of the reason's why I want to trade in my CL is to plan ahead for when my wife and I have kids which will be within the next 3 years (possibly) and for that I need to get rid of my coupe and get a four door

Wait until she's like 5 months before you dump the coupe.
