Sorry dude...but, Audi blows.

They are lookers and I always like them...but, their reliability is just absolutely gross. Don't buy it unless you have warranty and even then, be ready for days without when she's in the shop.

I love the look of Audis and also the engines. But the dread of maintenance would make me not buy one. Im also not a fan of the rear end of the last gen A6..its too bulbus. If its under warranty and you love it that much, then go for it.

If it was me I would say Nay, because I would consider it to be too much of a risk.

my friend bought a used S4. its sitting at the shop for at least a week during every month. its really ridiculous, everytime i see him hes always meeting up with me in his gf's car and very rarely do i see him in his beautiful looking blue S4. he had it for three months now and hes already looking to get rid of it for a used G35x

I have many friends who had to wait a month to get their tranny replaced in this Acuras.
I hate "my friend...." stories.

I say go for it if it has a warranty plus most audi dealers loan out brand new Audis anyways if your car is in for service. Not like you plan to keep it long anyways.

Fun factor > reliablity

(unless it starts costing you out of pocket)

It's a nice enough looking car but like everyone says, Audi's are prone to problems.

If it's temporary, go for it.

Is the 2.7T quick, does anyone know??? Just curious

i say no.
I don't like the looks of a Audi plus the reliablity of Audis is less than Acuras.

According to Audi's website, 0-60 = 6.0, but those were conservative numbers. The 2.7T has the same engine as the S4 of the time. The curb weight of the A6 was only about 100-200 lbs more than the S4. That should give you an idea of how quick it is.

A6 also isnt known for the their turbos blowing up like in the S4. Its engine bay has more room to let the turbos get air so its not as hot.

Faster from a roll than a stop despite having AWD. I could still beat my friend from a stop or roll in my CL-S.

My mom had an A6 wagon, and absolutely loved it. The warranty was up, and she wanted to keep it, she loved it so much. Within about 2000 miles, her rearview mirror fell out of the headliner, and she had massive electrical problems, causing the power steering to fail and the car to shut down. Its under a warranty, but i still would be cautious

Software alone with 93oct puts you at 318hp/382lb-ft

http://goapr.com/Audi/index.html

Let alone exhaust upgrades, removing the cats, intercooler, etc...

True Story:
My long time buddy had a 2001 A6.

In 2003 He had a rental car 6 months out of a 12 month year due to his tranny continually blowing on him. Audi had no idea what what causing it. After they kept putting bandaids on it over and over claiming they fixed the problem, he finally sold it and moved on. Worst car i've ever seen.

Not saying all A6's are this bad, but his issues turned me off completely.

By all means they arent reliable cars so do your research before buying one. Visit audiworld.com or audizine.com

But they sure are fun to drive for the money.

You know, I actually find my TSX more fun to drive than my 2.7T. Sure the Audi had twice the power of the TSX, but the Audi even with the sports suspension felt like driving a boat. It couldn't corner worth a damn. All it could do was haul in a straight line. I have much more fun in my TSX everyday because of how tight and nimble it is.

2.7T ???

Before the dorks at the dealer figured out how to understand the manual, those engines were run on 10,000 mi. oil change intervals with conventional 5w-30 engine oil...
