No not at all... it was kind of an inside joke between me and Scott. A few years ago, before Scott got his GTO, we went to the local Pontiac dealer and tried to test drive one... the sales guy (who was a supreme prick) told us that unless we had "money on the table", we couldn't take the car out for a test drive. When we asked him why, his answer was "because the GTO is a very exclusive vehicle"... so thats been a running joke between us ever since.

I couldn't even imagine how you guys kept a straight face. Selling a car is definitely an art but that may be pushing the envelope a little
Drove both the 400hp GTO and the Mustang GT. No comparison IMO, the gto won every every respect (god I love that engine). The only sacrifices you have to make are the small trunk and somewhat annoying gear box.
No.... GM for life *points to avatar* I have the answer to your question and it is HERE
Really though, GTOs have a nice interior, great rear seats. GTOs are actually somewhat rare, you see Mustangs everywhere, but Terminators are kind of rare. Interiors of the SN95s didnt change much at all, actually. I like the suede on the Terminators though.
Would I do I straight trade for your car? No, but for a 03+ with cash, yes. Or why wait for the new Camaro and Challenger? You put a lot of miles on your car though, I would want more of a cruiser than an all-out performer.

if this above your budget then keep your GTO and save for the GT-R

That said....it's not like there are a lot out there, around 40,000 for a 3 year run (about the amount they make of vettes in a year)

But as mentioned...i don't care about a gazillion HP. My mind is made up... it was a stupid idea I had for a few days

Reality is, stock vs stock they are competitive straight line cars (high 12's)
All you need is subframe connectors, some H&R springs and a good alignment with caster/camber plates and you handle like you want.
That is a rare car...competition orange is the rarest color on Terminators.
As for bolt ons....I spent $1150 for parts labor and a good tune and I put down 454hp and 474tq!

I'm $300 into my motor and put down 370/370. A mild cam and long tubes would put me in the 430-440 range for around $1500. But as I said. Power isn't where i'm looking...it wouldn't be for either car.

Not that the cobra won't...but there is a lot more involved then "sub frame connectors, H&R springs, and Caster Plates". The mustangs need some good reinforcement as well as basically everything the GTO would need plus more.
The widest tire you can do on the GTO is like a 245....that sucks!
