Working on your car ---without a garage
1) Organize a MOD meet with some locals and find the person with the biggest garage to host it.
2) Not sure on your Location but maybe you have a friend in the Military who can get you in to a hobby shop on the base
3) You could rent a storage shed but there are rules and im almost positive that your not allowed to do any automotive work in it due to chemicals from the engine spilling, but you might get away with it.
I think I remember reading that along with the you cannot live in it rule

I find the widest curb and drive up on it... if the cops come by, they ask wat am I doing now cuz they're so used to seeing me working on cars...
space isn't really a constraint
having the proper tools is
you need to get yourself a nice toolbox and fill it up w/ some quality tools... I suggest Sears...
Mostly need 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, 19mm and you can take this entire car apart
lastly a nice low profile jack w/ some jackstands goes along way
NYC status...

My garage but when I help people out that don't have a garage we mostly go to a parking lot.
Wish I had a camera last fall when I saw three guys working on a Passat in the parking lot of a strip mall where a AutoZone was located. They had the whole front grill, radiator, and condenser off the car on the ground. Couldn't tell what they were working but I could see the front cross member of the chassis.
Ever notice how many more stains there are on the parking lots in front of car part stores?

My covered parking space. It's not bad until the snooping wannabe mechanic neighbor comes over and tries to spew his "knowledge" of cars on me. Half the time I'm completely ignoring him and devising a plan to wrap my torque wrench around his head. Next condo or house will absolutely, 100% positively have a garage.
