I don't think he should be banned but i'd love for him to sum up his point into one paragraph. Cuz up to now I have no clue what it is.

According to these stats, a blown CL-S should be able to at least hang with the older model S4 (stock, of course). This is all in a straight line though.

I wonder why there is such a difference between MT and C&D stats?

Not a chance in hell. Get yourself a RWD car if you want all that power. Trust me, I learned my lesson in a FWD 2K3 Maxima.

Just because a car is FWD doesn't mean it can't make power. It will be harder to launch, but from a roll he will do well against the Audi. Might even surprise the M3. allmotor_2000 beat a M3 vert and he wasn't running his turbo set up. Just Intake/Headers and some custom port and polish work.

I will, I will. I just want this car to last me another 2 years or so. My wife is overdue for a new car so I can't change quite yet. I might as well have fun with the CL until I move on to a RWD/AWD monster. Besides, I think it is important to "baby-step" your way into more powerful cars. Mistakes in a powerful machine become very dangerous and expensive.

I never said a FWD car can't make a lot power. They can and will. My point is if you want to safely and effieciently drive a car with all that torque and HP a RWD is the obvious route. Wheel hop sux and going through a turn with that much power has trouble all over it. I am all for getting as much power as you can out of your car (I have a SCd S2K), but if you really want to do it the right way then RWD is a must. The G35 6-speed is a perfect substitue to the CL, or the sedan 6-speed in place of the TL.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the CL/TL. Just not for adding serious amounts of HP.

Well said. But if you're going to baby step into something more serious, I'd stick with exhaust/headers/intake. Skip the SC and wait for the real monster down the road. My buddy had a TL-S with headers/intake/exhaust and man did that baby fly! Makes his 04 TL seem slow!

I agree with the truth and concept to this statement. However, real application is another thing.

Without a doubt, RWD is a better platform to begin with when the plans are to produce significant power. But if the desire is there, it may not be practical to trade vehicles and then begin modifying. Also, there may be qualities to the current vehicle which may not be found or liked on the alternatives (cough, interior design on the mentioned alternative to the CL).

I hear this argument often and it is a valid one. But only when really applied. If someone drives the vehicle under 7/10 of its ability the benefits of RWD is not fully realized. When properly set up you can get pretty good capability from FWD. However, there is a still a margin which cannot be made up for but if not utilized by the RWD vehicle it is irrelevant.

I already have those mods + pulleys. The SC adds more power, but it isn't going to make it into an undrivable car like some of you are implying. I'm talking about adding 40-50 WHP, not a hundred or more.

Its too late for me. The look on peoples faces as they see an over weight front wheel drive 4 door semi/luxery vehicle pass them as they are in modded GTs, WRXs, SRT-4s, corvettes, etc... is priceless.
