my '17 A4 cools off the cabin in a minute or two, by far the best AC system I've every had. I'd agree Honda's seem to take slightly longer then other brands I've driven.

My S4's AC (When it works) is unbelievable, then again .. comparing that to an S2000 which basically coughs on you

One thing that I found is TINTING your windows goes a long ways towards keeping the car cool as it reduces the sun load on the car by a significant amount.

The S2000's heat on the other hand is super hot! - I'll never forget an autox day where a buddy had a passenger in his car who kept asking to lower the heat while they were waiting to make a run - but when you're wearing a helmet, you can't hear anything - he finally said "the heat is burning my leg!". We were watching the runs back on video and saw that and were cracking up.

I tend to agree with this sentiment though - my old '03 Acura TL-S and '14 MDX both have decent A/C but nothing amazing. My '14 Lexus GS350 and prior to that my '11 ES350 both have A/C where I often have to move the vent from blowing directly on me because it is so cold.

I guess I'll see when my '17 BMW 340xi comes in how miserable I'll be when it is hot out... have heard multiple multiple people complain that bimmers have sub-par A/C - in the 2017s there is a change to R1234yf refrigerant from R134a too which supposedly performs worse - but pollutes a lot less.

I can assure you that the newer BMW (at least 6 cylinder and more) have acceptable AC.

You don't need heater in the S2000. The natural Heater near the legs is better than any Heater.

AC in my 2006 760 cools pretty quickly even with the V12 dumping out loads of heat.

S2000's leg warmer is a completely different luxury.

Different kind of luxury than the V12 in the 760.
